Hey all, Looking to buy some guards/fenders for my dolphin grey E30 (sedan if that matters). I'd prefer that they are in dolphin grey but looking for any colour really as I need them for my now overdue wof. Thanks in advance for any help Dan

My left low beam bulb blew, replaced the fuse and bulb and now it blows new bulbs immediately. I have gone through at least 4 new bulbs that were all used previously. There is a relay that supplies both sides and I have tried 3 different relays. At idle the voltage on the the back of the bulb is 13.0. The earth is common to the park light and that works ok. The car is a pre facelift 325 E30 that has had facelift headlights fitted. Any ideas ?

So my wife gives me a call after driving the E30 to work saying it's sprung an oil leak, and sends a photo of a substance draining from the vehicle at a good rate. I go in to see whats going on and discover that the steering rack boot is where the fluid is coming from, sigh a relief that it wasn't worse, leave her with the wagon and baby the coupe home. I think to myself "I'll just order a rebuild kit, it can't be that hard" and slowly as I research and crawl under the car for part numbers realise that this could be a real sh*t job. Important info: Car: E30 318is 1990 VIN: WBAAF92020EE46058 rack part number (also in photo): 7832 955 155 Location: Central Otago (yeah this would be a lot easier in a city) So my question is? do I order a rebuild kit, because lets face it I currently have the time, none of the specialist tools but I'm a kiwi male so I should be able to work it out? or Do i replace the rack with a second hand rack, save myself plenty of cursing but have no idea how good the seals are? With regard to replacement racks, I don't really want to add sorting out steering linkage while I'm at this so potentially E36 etc racks are out (unless you have a good argument). Any and all help would be most appreciated. Regards Joshua

It was the final step to the E30 convertible dream: lowered, genuine BBS RS and OEM MTech 1 kit, but alas my super-steep driveway is too steep for both the MTech 1 and a cabrio at the limit! Parts are what you see in the photo. I've already installed the MTech 1 boot lip, so included here is just the MSport boot lip. If you are genuinely interested, I highly recommend you come and take a squiz at the kit for yourself. These parts are 25+ years old and have some wear and tear to show for it. Regrettably, some metal clips have rusted away and some original fasteners are missing from the previous owner. You will need to use some generic fasteners if you want to fasten it in all the original locations. Not a fibreglass set! Would like to sell as a whole, and would like to not ship since the metal PFL bumpers etc are heavy. Let me know if you're interested and we can work something out. Get your precious E30 looking good for the summer! If no one's keen over the next few days I'll put it up on Trademe instead Cheers team! -

Hi I have an 325i E30 and want to get quite a bit of work done to it. Is there a place I could go that will do everything because I don't have the time to be travelling between different shops. I want some body work done, engine work, seals redone around the car etc.. Im based in Auckland just trying to look for a place that's reliable and that can do most things Thanks

Hi all! Looking for a manual 6 cyl e30 coupe. Got around 6k to spend. Preferably something unmolested and grandpa spec. Will probably have to keep looking for a while at this price point though. Might take an auto too if it's coupe 6 cyl and cheap enough. Preferably North Island. Cheers

Looking for some advice on issues with my M30 swap: Rundown: M30B35 from a 199X 535i, G240 box, M3/S14 flywheel, M20 clutch and p/plate, M30 starter. ECU bosch 179 red label M30 engine loom. Issues currently present; 1) Fuel pump does not prime when key turned to ACC position? Google search does not help, pump should prime AFAIK. 2) ICV does not hum in ACC key position?

Currently wrecking a 318i facelift. Royalblau metallic, a bit faded on the roof. Most parts available, can do body cuts if required but the car is off the road because of rust. All panels are straight and dent free Doors - $60 each Roof - non sunroof - can cut halfway up the pillars with head lining intact $200 Bonnet $150 Boot $50, no spoiler. Front guards, royalblau in good order $80 each, got others in different colours and states of repair. Wheels - 14 inch bottle caps. All checked for being straight. Bare rim $20 each, with legal tire $35 All in south Auckland

Hey all, I've recently got a problem with my 1990 E30. I've turned the key anti-clockwise to the 90 degrees or horizontal position (Double lock?) and now the lock won't go back to the vertical position. When I did this, the battery was disconnected (I think) and now it's almost as if the car doesn't know that the door is locked. To clarify, I can open and lock the passenger door and the trunk fine with the key. It's just the drivers side door that isn't budging. Another symptom is that central locking seems to have stopped working. The lights flash when I push the remote but it won't lock or unlock. I can hear some clicking from within the car and the window lights and dome lights turn on but the car won't unlock. Also the car will set off its alarm if I try and turn the ignition. Seems the immobilizer is not disarming as well. If anyone can shed some light onto how I can fix this problem, that would be amazing. Getting really desperate here. Thanks in advance for any help

Hey guys, So I have pieced together a manual transmission kit for my 325i E30 however I could only get my hands on a Getrag 240 as well as a 320i driveshaft to go with it. Doing some research online people are saying that the 240 box is not "strong" enough for the B25 engine??, just wanted to get your opinions on the whole setup, and if it's a better idea to get a Getrag 260 box and the 325i driveshaft. Basically its a fuel - fuel rail - injector malfunction that is temperamental. So done me engine swap, the car runs sweet no issues then im getting this... Took the injectors out and they don't seem to be pulsing when this issues going on. I got this weird blow back through the intake when I tried to start it today. Also the fuel pump kept on whirring like it wasn't getting any fuel but had plenty in tank. Sometimes it would whirr constantly and other times I turned the key on it would prime itself then stop like normal. On other random occurrences when turning the key on the injectors would squirt suddenly as soon as the key turned on... Im guessing thats what the blow back was, as the valves would be shut and the pressure from the injectors had no where to go but vent back through the air filter. I thought at first it could be fuel pump relay sticking but then why would the injectors not be pulsing? Im guessing its a bad connection some where and ive heard that you shouldn't solder the wires on theses, is that true? as I have soldered just about every splice. Regards

As per the title I've now decided it's time for another e30 Not too keen on a 4cyl (because power) but may be open to a 320i however must be manual At the moment I'm going to say I'm looking to pay around $3000 which I am well aware probably won't get me a road legal one due to the e30 tax at the moment but that's not a big issue, looking for a bit of a project anyway I say around $3000 but that obviously depends on the condition - I'm not going to pay that for your dereg farm hack, but I may give you 5 for a tidy one Not in a massive rush to get one, have a few months at least so if you are thinking of selling in the near future then let me know! Cheers guys (and girls?)

From the ad, it 's a 1989 and has 300k kms... Either use as is or do some paint improvements. Drives well for it's age. A few things do not work (e.g. the auto return of the r.h. indicator after turning. Service indicator, so you need to keep an eye on it). Sold as is where is. EXTREMELY POPULAR E30 MODEL IN RED AND ***** RARE MANUAL***** surely that 666 number plate is worth something to satanists? -
Having a clear out of some spare e30 parts front passenger guard red $40 front lip $60 front and rear chrome bumpers $120 for the pair hood hinge, not sure of the condition of the strut i think its ok it held the hood up but don't have anything to compare to $20 will take it got a towbar $70 lights front and rear pfl $15 for either pair and $10 for the pair of mirrors, the black has gotten a bit old but would come up fine with a re blacking kit anyone wants the steering wheel I'll give it away free lastly have a single 14 inch wheel a bit of tread should pass at least 1 wof has no curb rash $25 also have a number of interior switches and lights if anyone is interested
