  1. Hi guys Stripping 2 cars - going cheap, most bits probably priced between $20-50 '97 E36 318is coupe NZ New with frontal damage. No running gear. Good stuff includes: Rear lights, bootlid, rear bumper (pending sale), doors. Interior roof lining, steering wheel ($100), rear seats, interior boot trim. Probably other good bits there too, just ask what you need. '99 E36 318Ti Interior - front half-leather seats (a bit worn, drivers has a rip and a repair already), rear seats, roof lining, rear trims, parcel shelf, boot carpets etc. Some other parts too, let me know what you need. Located West Auckland.
  2. Hi guys I've been skulking on the forums for a while, gathering intel, but haven't posted. I've been wanting to get into gravel rallying for a little while, and since you can buy E36s on a tight budget, it seemed like a good idea. They're popular in europe, so a ton of info is available. Spare parts are easy to come by (as it's sometimes cheaper to buy a broken E36 than it is to find individual parts). I bought an automatic '99 318Ti compact for under $1k, and after sorting small issues to get it a WoF, it's still driving. It's even seen a grass autocross and survived! I also have a frontal damaged 318is manual which is currently being stripped down for parts for the compact. I should probably start a build thread... Here's a pic for you: Cheers, Kris
  3. Hi All, My names Ethan. I brought my E36 last year (possibly from another member) and thought it was about time to get involved!! My car is a Boston Green 325i coupe - nothing crazy done to it, just a few Msport Pieces and some style 68 wheels.. I have track aspirations, and hope to get to Manfeild sometime soon! Also keen to get involved in any events / meets / cruises. I see there's something going down this month... very keen! (will be karting along my bimmer impaired friend (see topic below) until he finds a great e30 to purchase!!) Look forward to meeting you all! (sorry about the pictures.. they seem to have a horrible green cast over them)
  4. Hello there, this is my first post on the forum so please excuse me if i do any mistakes. I was looking for an e36 coupe manual. it would have to be in a good condition. cheers.
  5. http://www.trademe.co.nz/a.aspx?id=1259904144 223KMs and looks pretty tidy. Beautifully restored leather!!!! Rubbish pictures tho :{ What is with the frequent use of 'unmolestered' on TradeMe? Love the predictions 'My prediction is the price will double at least in the next year!' - a bit like Carlsberg's ads eh? (Probably the best beer in the world ...'
  6. Style 22 $650 215/45r17 Dunlop starspec z2. Not done many km. $650. Hard motorsport coupe seat panel. For when rear seats are removed $200
  7. Hi all I'll be selling some interesting bits and pieces, mainly E36 Evo M3 driveline parts, and M50/52 parts, that will no longer be used. These items are expensive quality parts sourced over the years, It is an ideal package for anyone desiring a strong F/I build, or simply upgrading a standard E36. They were to be used in a high horsepowered M50 Frankenstein build, but life doesn't always work out the way one wishes it would, there's nothing cheap about building a turbo E36 unless you cut corners ( haha ). Here are some parts, including some engine upgrades for turbo applications. - Evo M3 LSD Diff : $1200 ( haven't confirmed Ratio yet, blasted and painted, so not a crappy looking used Diff ) - Evo M3 Complete Rear Subframe ( Complete Powder coated unit ) : $1800 - Evo M3 Manual Conversion Kit ( Includes Complete Driveshaft ) : $2400 - UUC Clutch / Flywheel Kit ( 850whp rated, can find the detailed info on CES Motorsport web page ) : $2800 ( reasonably priced for what it is ) - Evo M3 Rear Axles : $ ( Price TBC ) Engine Components: -Top Mount TurboManifold T3/T4 : ( SOLD ) - CES BMW E36 Cutring Headgasket, Copper Spacer, COMBO KIT : $750 -ARP 2000 Head stud kit : ( SOLD ) -M52B28 Stroker Kit, removed from 90km engine : $500 -Evo Subframe Bushing Kit : ? ( TBC ) -Walbro 255 LPH Fuel Pump, Filter and Connector : ? ( TBC ) -M50B25 OBD1 Engine wiring loom : $50 -M50B25 Intake Manifold x 2 $60 each - Nuke Fuel Rail = ? ( TBC ) I will update with images for most of the items listed in accordance with forum rules. Feel free to ask questions, there's still more parts to be listed but i haven't gathered everything just yet so keep an eye out if there's anything that tickles your fancy haha, or PM if need be, kind regards, Peter. Items with "TBC", prices yet to be confirmed.
  8. If this was in Wellington I suspect I'd be quickly selling my Euro... looks reasonably well looked after and at a decent price - of course it's also an old car and will require ongoing $$$$ but for that money you probably couldn't go far wrong... http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-1241425943.htm
  9. Hi everyone, My trusty 1998 328i E36 has developed a small radiator leak. Mechanic says "don't worry, just top up the levels every couple of weeks". Which is much better than "replace it now for $$$$". Anyway, I was wondering what everyone thought of those radiator repair additives - do they work and are they worth trying in my engine? Tim
  10. 1994 e34 540i, Factory minus stereo. I've owned this for about 3 years, just been doing work on the engine general servicing as its at just over 265000kms. I've completely deleted the sunroof, in the process of getting it welded up using the same panels other than that haven't made any major plans for it yet no rush. Really nice car to drive very comfortable, its been on some big road trips from Dunedin to central north island and Gizzy to Lake Hawea, did Dunedin to Wanganui on a tank of gas! Tank is 80L. 2001 e39 540i, Just picked this one up this month, just over 200000kms, full service history and paper work, nz new, all optional extras. Brilliant car an absolute dream to drive. 1992 e36 325i ac schnitzer, You may have seen this one on trade me recently, was on 5 spoke ROH's. AC schnitzer front lip, rear lip, rear spoiler, springs and struts, front strut brace, drilled rear discs, bbs 18x8.5 235R 215F, a few other little gems, 140000km, and its JDM. Just in the process of converting to manual should be done in the next month. Very minor things wrong with the car, i was blown away at the condition of it when i picked it up.
  11. So the other day my old man decided we need more BMW's.... We picked up a 323i E21 factory 5 speed manual (Not the dogleg box ) thats straight as alltho needs paint, and has 6.5k of recipts for engine work with the rego on hold! In this same deal we also got a REG and WOF'd PFL 320i E30 sedan, it has a mint dash and runs mint! Needs some paint and the only downside to the cloth interior is one little cigerette butt burn in the drivers seat! These add to my collection of 2 e36 Ti's, my little brothers e30 coupe and my old mans E46 touring and 74 2002. Now.... what would a good running 323i e21 5 speed manual be worth these days if we were to respray it and tidy it all up? The E30 I am trying to claim for myself to paint up and keep as a little toy or as a daily while the 328Ti becomes more of a garage queen getting more time and money thrown at it
  12. Hi all As stated I'm after an air conditioning unit with AUC (automatic recirculation control), this has two give aways, the parts number in the top will have AUC at the end of the numbers, or on the face, where the recirculate button is, instead of just the circle, there is another with an 'A' on it. AUC is an optioned ticked in my car but the unit itself has given up, it detects pollutants in the air and automatically switches off the main stream of outside air coming in and recirculates the current air that is in the car. Thanks for your help!
  13. Hi all I have been apart of Bimmersport for a while but never used my account and never introduced myself. A few of you may have seen my car around the car scene in Hamilton some time ago, but recently have been caught up in work and study. I drive a 1998 BMW E36 323i/4/5 Motorsport, Factory 5-Speed, built in South Africa, this one has BMW Individual paint (Aegean Metallic Blue) with black and grey interior on dove grey leather. The desirable non-sunroof seems to always become a point of conversation for some reason? She currently sits on Beyern Spartan (18x8.5f, 18x9.5r) rims and a very light tint. Some factory options were the rear mechanical sun visor, heated wing mirrors, style 32 (17x7.5) from factory, and a detachable hidden towbar piece. I purschased the car around two and a half years ago at 170,000km, and have recently booked her in for the 230,000km service. I've managed to add a few things here and there, strut bars, springs, struts, shocks, rims, ZHP styled gear knob, K&N slip-in fliter. All in all it's been a wonderful and sometimes stressful two and a half years but there are many more things I'd like to do to the car over the next eternity. I'm looking forward to making conversation in the forums!

  17. Hi guys, Im after a 3 spoke non-airbag wheel for an E36 Doesnt have to be fancy, just saves me on a boss kit and a steering wheel for the hack. So my budget is less than that of a boss kit + cheapo wheel. One like the photo would be ideal. They look decent as well. Located in Auckland Cheers!
  18. http://www.trademe.co.nz/a.aspx?id=1191909677 Current owner had it for >15 years ; 184kms on the clock and for sale in Welly. Bit short on pictures but looks very nice!
  19. Here's a long shot. Wanting to buy a pair of E36 M3 mirrors for my coupe. Preferably Boston green, but any color is okay. Can pick up around Auckland Thanks in advance.
  20. Hi, I have an E36 coupe, and recently the drivers door handle is getting difficult to open from outside and inside, especially if the window is up. I had an issue like this on my passengers side, which resulted in the outside handle breaking after my friend tried to open it without the 'knee in the door trick'. Replacing the handle was a nightmare as when I did, the window wasn't removed from the door. Is there is a solution for my drivers door handle problem with out replacing the whole unit as i'd rather not go through that again, but if i had to, does anyone have a 1996 (DEC 1995) door handle assembly? When replacing my passengers side one I realised the original lock tumbler did not fit into the replacement door handle, and I'd essentially like to use the same locks for my drivers door. Any advice would help, and I apologise if i'm in the wrong category, but seems like a maintenance thing... Thanks
  21. Hey guys up for sale is my E36 msport manual coupe. Reason for sale is I have too many cars and the wifey isn't happy. Details: 270,000kms Leather interior with the sought after leather doorcards (in fantastic condition, no peeling) Has near new M3 bilstein's (done less than 5,000kms) Can come with the Rieger GT front lip, but needs repairs as it's been cracked in two (debris on motorway took it off) Drives beautifully, no mechanical issues, gearbox is smooth with no crunches. Cons: Headliner is sagging as is usual with most E36's Drivers side window not working, needs new reg/motor Steering wheel leather is starting to crack, could do with a replacement. $6,500 ono, reasonable offers considered, may be interested in swaps + cash my way (just don't tell the wife ). Will come with Wof and Rego for new owner. Note: comes with ACS wheels, not the Style 42's as seen in photo 3. Cheers.
