  2. Hi all! Looking for a manual 6 cyl e30 coupe. Got around 6k to spend. Preferably something unmolested and grandpa spec. Will probably have to keep looking for a while at this price point though. Might take an auto too if it's coupe 6 cyl and cheap enough. Preferably North Island. Cheers

  5. Hi all, not my car but I thought someone out there might be interested in this manual E39. Enjoy
  6. Getrag 240 5-speed manual gearbox and all the trimmings for a M10. It'll fit an M30 too, but I don't advise that. I think everything you could need is included. Clutch, gearstick, linkage, clutch & brake pedals, slave and master cylinders, reservoir. At the moment it's still connected to the M10, and still full of oil. Shifted very nicely, smooth and precise, when in the car. Offering it here because you're all lovely people before putting it up on a couple of Facebook groups. $750. Collection from 45km north of Hamilton, just off SH1.
  7. Hey guys up for sale is my E36 msport manual coupe. Reason for sale is I have too many cars and the wifey isn't happy. Details: 270,000kms Leather interior with the sought after leather doorcards (in fantastic condition, no peeling) Has near new M3 bilstein's (done less than 5,000kms) Can come with the Rieger GT front lip, but needs repairs as it's been cracked in two (debris on motorway took it off) Drives beautifully, no mechanical issues, gearbox is smooth with no crunches. Cons: Headliner is sagging as is usual with most E36's Drivers side window not working, needs new reg/motor Steering wheel leather is starting to crack, could do with a replacement. $6,500 ono, reasonable offers considered, may be interested in swaps + cash my way (just don't tell the wife ). Will come with Wof and Rego for new owner. Note: comes with ACS wheels, not the Style 42's as seen in photo 3. Cheers.

  14. The motor and gearbox are now out of my e28 1984 525e and are for sale. Motor includes everything attached in the photos including loom and ECU. Essentially complete. Loom has been cut at c101 plug but otherwise intact. Gearbox is the 525e Getrag 260/5 and includes flywheel with correct TDC mark, sensors, clutch and pressure plate (some meat left but I would recommend getting a new one), full shifter assembly (some parts no pictures) and clutch slave cylinder and rubber line. To do a manual conversion, you would additionally need the clutch hardline, pedal box/clutch pedal, clutch master cylinder, reservoir (I have one of these I can throw in) and driveshaft. Prices: $300 for complete motor, loom and ECU. $600 for gearbox and parts listed above. Pickup from Penrose.
  15. Time to move this along as I don't have the need for two cars. It has been in my family since import circa 2001. 171,XXX km. SOLD. Located in Auckland. The good: 5 Speed Manual - with Z3M shifter and ZHP knob. Full service 1,000km ago (170,000km). B&G Springs with Bilstein shocks - installed circa 160,000km. Style 68 staggered wheels on Bridgestone Potenza RE002/RE003 - approx. 5-7mm tread. Sony iPod stereo with Alpine Type S 6x9's in rear parcel tray - 6x9 adapters used so looks 100% OEM under standard BMW speaker covers. Current WOF/Rego. The not so good: Cloth door linings sagging. Bumper cracked on RHS corner at the bottom. The exterior of the car reflects that it is 22 years old i.e. not perfect. Best that you inspect to get a proper idea of the condition. PM for more details/pictures.

    E34 535i Parting

I'm parting out a 535ise 1989. The car is manual however all mechanical parts including brakes I am keeping for my e28 conversion. H&R lowering springs with Bilstein shocks. Springs for sale, might sell shocks depending on the offer. 3.45 open medium case diff. Wheels are TSW 17x8 with 235/45 Bridgestone Potenzas all round with lots of tread. One center cap is missing. Pretty much zero curbing, only very light grazes on two of them, and hardly that. One of the two is in the photo. $600. SOLD Please ask for price for all other parts (If this is in accordance with forum rules). All engine/drivetrain parts I don't need will be for sale once my e28 is running. Windscreen is cracked and seat fabric is starting to break apart, especially on the rear. Still comfy as though, haha. Parts pickup from Penrose, Auckland. Parts will be available from this weekend.
  19. Hi all, I'm selling a 1987 E28 525e on behalf of the owner in Napier, Hawke's Bay. 5 speed manual running a 2.7ltr M20 Just over 305,000km Power steering Sunroof Central locking Power mirrors Tool kit in boot (missing a socket) Documentation and service history Registered and warranted They'd like to let it go for $4,000. However they're open to offers so please PM me.
  20. Have decided to sell my E34 which I've put quite a bit of work into. Reason for selling is I wan't to start a completely different project, will also likely be selling my E39 soon for the same reason. Basic details: - 1995 NZ New 520i - Factory manual - Has done roughly 295,000Km (Still using original instrument cluster so can bee seen) - Original 2.0L M50 engine was swapped to a 2.8L M52 nearly a year ago now - New engine has roughly 110,000Km, was from an auto E36 (Unfortunately I have no evidence of this but it runs well). Work done/whats included: - E34 M-Tech front and rear bumpers. - M-Tech front and rear seats (manual adjust) - Has a new OEM Sachs clutch kit fitted onto a lightweight flywheel (done at time of swap). - German made Vogtland lowering springs (Ride is not harsh at all, car goes over all speed bumps without scraping). - Genuine throwing star wheels included in sale (no tires, or covers). - Will come with Standard BBS style 15" factory wheels with very good tread on all four tires. - Will come with M-tech side skirts (need to be refinished). - Re-upholstered headliner in black. - Black rear parcel shelf. Negatives: - No AC. - No Cert for swap (should be straight forward to get since its using all original mounts, no fabrication or modification to chassis). - Shift knob worn. - Left rear window is stuck in fully closed position (just happened two days ago), can hear motor trying so its probably the regulator. Price: As for price its difficult to say what its worth like with most similar projects, but am after $5,500 ONO. Notes: Despite no cert for the swap it has a WOF since the engine looks identical to the original one. It has always gone through WOF's easily. It drives very well, no issues at all with new engine, the added power and torque make it a lot more fun than a standard 520i/525i. As far as body condition: its quite nice, however, it is an old car and has a few minor dents and imperfections which you probably cannot pick up easily from the pics. Never been in any kind of accident as far as I know and can tell. Like I said the only reason I'm selling it is because I'm wanting to start a new project car (completely different direction). It will be sold with current WOF and Rego. As for pics, I'll upload the ones I have at the moment, more will follow since I haven't had much time lately. As it sits right now (These are the stock 15" wheels currently fitted): The throwing stars also included without tires (previous owner painted them silver, they are genuine forged E34 T.Stars): You can see the silver spray paint on the wheels I mentioned starting to come off (Looks better with original black anyway): Converted to narrow grill a while ago (Just preferred the narrow look): Engine bay: Looks identical to original M50 since its using an M50B25 intake plenum and valve cover: 525i badge has been removed now: That's all I have right now, will get interior pics soon. Offers welcome since I know these kind of things are hard to price.
  21. Hey Guys As i sit here trying to sum up the motivation to go and do some work work on this i though it was about time to start a thread on the 328i. A bit of background on the car, when i was 20 i sold my 318IS manual as i started to want something with a bit more oomph, i still liked the E36 and couldn't quite afford an E39 540. so I decided that a 328I would be the ideal car for me. i was keen on a manual but couldn't find a tidy one within my budget after a few months of looking. i did find a nz new 4 door auto with decent spec, full leather ect for a decent price and in really good nick so i picked it up. Since then i have done quite a bit of the usual maintenance improving on it where i could. The suspension has just about been completely rebuilt with solid rubber bushings, the standard springs, sway bars and shocks have been replaced with factory M-Sport springs and sway bars and Koni Adjusatble shocks. The brakes now sport Brembo blank rotors and EBC red pads. Crank and Cam position sensors have been replaced with genuine new ones. The plugs have just been replaced with the OEM Bosch ones. On the inside i have re-coloured the parcel tray back to black from the purple they all trend to, swapped out the interior lights for LEDs and found an M3 Evo steering wheel for it. The hood linging is falling off more and more by the day now, so will soon be pulled out and re-covered although i am un-decided on something close to the current grey, or to go dark like the M-sport cars. i would love a set of vaders for the front seats too but have not yet found any one willing to part with a set! Now the big one! MANUAL! This weekends mission is the manual conversion. i have been sitting on a ZF box for almost a year and have finaly decided its time to do the swap. at this moment the car is up on axel stands with the interior pulled out and the exhaust and drive shaft spread over the garage! with any luck ill be driving it to work as a manual on monday! but realistically i think ill be done mid next week. once the manual conversion is all done and dusted i have a custom 4 plate LSD center to fit to the current diff. i will likely replace all the diff bearings while i'm at it. ill get some photos of the car once its back on the road, and if there is any thing you want to see while its in pieces ill do my best to get a photo for you!
  22. Hi all, About a 9 months ago I bought a manual '96 e36 323i sunroof sedan in Arctis Grey, and no the sunroof doesn't work properly. Purchased 17x8 and 17x9 staggered style 32 wheels which rubbed quite hard on the rears so I rolled the guards. Spent some time at pick a part - found a couple of good scores like an m50 manifold for about $60 I bought and installed Yellowspeed Adjustable suspension because the wheel gap on the front hurt my eyes The extra stiffness was enough to pop out one of my grills, which was moderately upsetting Replaced them with some black grills, I'm unsure if I'm going to go back to OEM chrome surrounds as I'm generally a purist when it comes to Aesthetic mods so we'll see how much they niggle my conscience. This is the overall look of the car now, fairly happy with it. A couple of months ago I bought a manual '92 e36 325is coupe as a donor and have since stripped out the diff, box, block and other goodies. I am in the process of building this engine for a single vanos +T setup to transplant into the 323i. Here are some flicks of the goings on so far! More to come . . .
  23. Hi guys Up for sale is my e30 131,000kms M10 manual 15" Basketweaves Zender front valance Reg & WOF One of the tidier ones around. Always been garaged, genuine low kms jap import. I will upload some better photos as soon as it stops raining. looking around the $4,500 mark. Txt or call 027 278 6536 for viewing
  24. Looking for a manual e30 coupe, preferably a 318i, open to all suggestions though. Ideally, north island would be great. Not too keen on vehicle transport etc. $6000 MAX budget. Thanks for anything in advance!
  25. Hey guys, Would you happen to know if a E28 full manual conversion kit would fit on an E30? One has popped up for sale from an M20 powered car, and kinda want to jump on it ASAP cause its a steal. Getrag 260 box btw. Will the pedal box etc all fit in? Thanks for your input.
