  1. Hi everyone, I have a 2001 E38 728i. I had some electrical problems and it seems that my alternator is stuffed. However, after having had a flat battery for some time. I jump started the car via the terminals in the engine bay and got the old girl going. Even managed to get enough juice into the cars battery to be able to restart it eaily. Everything on the car is operating fine except I can't open the boot WHERE THE BATTERY IS. I can't open it mechanically with the key, I can't open via the switch in the cabin and and I can't open it via the remote on the key. Has anyone had similar problems? I really need to get this sorted and would like to solve the problem without having to go to an auto electrician. I reiterate, everything else is fine, including the central locking system. Aaaargh!
  2. carbon fiber bootlid for E46 coupe model BMW only. Not sedan or other. Used but in great condition. Has been used on my E46 for about a year. Great fitment also. Has UV coating. Comes with liner, clips, license plate screws, electric bootlid handle, badges, lock mechanism (latch) Needs reverse lights, key lock barrel and an E46 coupe, preferable 330ci ?? those will complete it perfectly. Paid $1300 on shipping costs alone. Comes with everything in photos. Ask for details I would much prefer pick up since the box is large. But could look into shipping costs if really needed. Pick up Hamilton or Cambridge Price for the forum $1500. Have on trademe at $1800 buy now.
  3. Right. This one's a bit of doozy... The boot on my 525e is stuck shut. I'm 90% certain that something has gotten a bit intimate with either the hinges or more likely the catch mechanism. Now the beauty of the E28 is that it has a nice ski pass for me to crawl through... Except it doesn't I've tried sitting on it and massaging the open button, high-fiving the badge area, poking long things through the strut access holes, but to no avail. I've got the following, fairly primitive ideas... Smash a light Drill out the lock Drill a hole behind the number plate Cut a hole in the top of the boot Cut a hole behind the rear seat Never open the boot again Or actually use my AA membership for something and see what creative ideas they come up with... Any ideas? If not feel free to grab some popcorn
  4. WTB a rustfree bootlid and sunroof lid for a bronze/beige e30
  5. I have an extra set of LED bulbs to replace the old incandescent bulbs in an e39 sedan interior and boot area. $60 pickup in AKL or $65 including postage. A very easy 30min DIY job.
  6. As per the title I'm after a bootlip / mtech spoiler for my '90 e30 318is and a set of genuine or replica 16 or 17in bbs rs wheels with a 4x100 pattern to fit the same car. Will pay cash but can do trades for wheels too.I'm in Auckland but happy to pay shipping. W.H.Y?
