  1. Hi everyone. I'm trying to fix the central locking on my e39 530i year 2001. I had few issues with locking the car since when I bought it from the dealer. First of all, infrared remote key does not work at all even though after multiple attempt to re-initialize the remote key. Secondly, the physical key on driver side did not lock or unlock, the key actually did not turn on both ways. Only the central locking worked when you are inside the car just about to drive and use the central locking button. At the moment, I'm trying the conversion from infrared remote to radio frequent remote. I've made 2 new keys (radio frequent 433mhz) and have immobilizer programmed. Also replaced the antenna amplifier with 433mhz and also did the new wiring towards pin 13 of X332 and fuse 6. And the most important part of all, the driver side door key issue. I have replaced the new key housing and swapped the key cylinder. The driver side door now can lock and unlock, but does not lock and unlock the other 3 doors (central locking). Also the remote key on both infrared (x1) and radio frequent keys (x2) does not initialize with remote central locking. I can still lock and unlock all the doors from inside the car using the central locking button. And I scanned the car and here are the fault codes I've got... 2 Fuse or lead for load circuit 2 93 Central-locking drive, driver's door 94 Central-locking drive, passenger's door 1 Fuse or lead for load circuit 1 Code: 0A4100A6 no description! Code: 0A4100A7 no description! Code: 0A410091 no description! Has anyone got any idea what I can do from here? Any help or advice much appreciated! Thank you very much in advance.
  2. Hi, I recently bought my 1997 320i (E36) with 2 remotes that do not respond to the Central Locking System. Can anyone give me some ideas on how to diagnose this issue further? Thanks heaps! They only thing I have done so far is: 1. Get in the car and close all windows and doors. 2. Put key into the ignition and turn to position 1 (the accessories should turn on) 3. Turn the key back to position 0 and take the key out of the ignition. 4. Hold down the unlock button, press the BMW logo (lock button) 3 times, and release the unlock button. Doors do not Lock/Open, I have checked the fuses, and the replaced the key batteries but no luck?
  3. Hi guys, I do not know if this is quick fix. I was sleep in my car with open lock. After a while, everything got shut, for exmaple i can not open my car tail gate, my car window electronic are not closing because they are electronic, my remove control doesn't work with keys at the moment I am manually opening my car, Central locking is also off every door I manually opening and closing. I do not what is happening or whether my car thought its being stolen and it put thing shut automatically. Can I please get help of any BMW smart person? I hope someone I can help me out. Cheers, Lokesh
  4. Last seven digits of the chassis # are 2099070 I've been farting about with this car for a few weeks now, It's rattly, so I've checked/set valve clearances and cleaned the oil spray bar. It still rattles, so I guess the rocker shafts are worn. Never mind that it runs ok and I've got another head on the E32 730. I've dealt to a whole lot of minor interior stuff like missing clips etc. Replaced the electric window switch block to get drivers window operating. Fitted another head unit with a CD rather than a cassette... Replaced dead speakers. Fitted wheels and tyres, (M-Sport 18's, 9 1/2 rears, 8 fronts, I think from an E34 540, although I've seen the same ones on an early 750), which almost, but not quite, cured the 80kph shimmy. Replaced the thermostat after it got rapidly hot then blew the short hose from behind the thermostat housing to the water pump. It got hot again the next day, so the thermostat is out until I clean out the radiator and check to see if the water pump is any good on the 730... So, here's the interesting question. Today, having driven it around the block, (about 30km, parts of which have been used in the Targa), I was pleased to note the temperature remained pretty stable. However... The windows refused to work... the trip computer died... the central locking doesn't work, and neither do the wipers... All at once... Car still runs fine and everything else is working as far as I can tell... I haven't got a clue... Had to drag the 740 out of the three wall, borer infested, dirt floored shed that's the nearest thing I have to a workshop, so I could park the 530 under cover... Anyone got any ideas where to start with this?
