Hi Guys, Can anyone recommend a good mechanic in Christchurch, that they regularly go to ?? (apart from jeff gray) had a good mechanic up in wellington but yet to find any good mechanics down here as of yet Cheers

Sup all, So basically I've joined because I went against all advice given to me and brought myself a 2004 530i. Being a complete retard (won't say stereotypical girl.. but yeah pretty much) when it comes to cars naturally after owning it for about 4 months its begun to sound like a tractor and leak oil. I'll make you all cringe by confessing that no, I've had no service since I've had it and it's JUST about 145,000km including no-one of any mechanical/bmw knowledge even look at it. To top it off, I'm heavy footed for 5"1' girl and drive it like I stole it. So I'm here pleading to be pointed in the direction of TRUSTED bmw mechanic in Auckland, who won't take advantage of the fact I'm a young ignorant female and rip me off. Thank you in advance!! Im west and would appreciate the details of a BMW workshop. I paid a fortune for Newmarket to do my service and hope I dont have to pay so much in future. I have new grills to swap out and happy to come to you and pay someone to do it correctly. I would also appreciate some tech advice with performance, idrive software replacement, etc. Is there an owners club?

Hello all. New member with a love of the old e30's. I have an '89 320i. Have done easy mechanical bits (changed belts etc), but it's dropping oil & my possibilities to fix it are limited in both experience & ability. Any of you guys know of a mechanic i can go to in Christchurch who will make all my mechanical issues vanish? Was thinking to have an engine / transmission overhaul. Any leads appreciated.
