    e92 335i

    https://www.goodcars.co.nz/vehicle/2012-BMW-335i/6417?s=1 im new to bmw from a lexus is350, my desire car is e92 335i/135icoupe/m235.(it is also my budget) can anyone tell me what problems does this car is? btw, i did a lot of search through google and getting thousands of error code that present by other 335 owners. Im still considering...... guys, i am so happy to hear from your user experience, thank you for comments and help.

  3. Hi all, Jimmy from Auckland here and I have never owned a BMW. I really like the design of the F06/F13 6 series but I don't know whether I should buy a 640i or go for the more powerful 650i. I would prefer to get the more powerful one but not at the cost of reliability. My brother has a N54 335i Coupe and I believe he's at stage 2 with a upgraded charge pipe, catless down pipe and a upgraded intercooler. I have no idea with how much HP he's at, but would like to achieve similar HP if I were to buy one. From what I've read online, it seems like the N63 engine in the 50i models are complete nightmares. Is this true for the updated N63TU/N63B44O1 from 2013 onwards as well? Or are they better? I don't plan on tuning the car if I get the 650i, but if I get the 640i, I do want to get a upgraded charge pipe and go stage 1 but I doubt going stage 2. Is there a big noticeable difference between stage 1 and stage 2? So with reliability in mind, should I go for a stock 650i or go for the 640i and go stage 1? Also is the mechanical insurance worth buying? Will the stage 1 tune void it? I will not be taking the car for tracking.

    640i upgrade

    Hi, this is my first time here and i’m buying 640i 2013 grancoupe, wanna to know what stuff do i need for it to get 500hp and is mhd or jb4 is better and apart from this can i use custom tune and mhd or jb4 at same time and how much the hp will be? Is worth it having both? Jb4 or mhd for more burbles. I live in New Zealand and i don’t where to buy stuff this car( diffuser, side skirts ,spoiler and front lip). thanks
  6. I have finally found the last car that I will have for a while. I have been searching all kinds of models to decide what to go for from E92 335i , E82 135i, E46 M3, E92 M3, M235i and also a renault megane RS265 but I have finally settled on what I think is the best car for me at this point which is the F20 M135i with N55 and 8 Speed ZF auto. Coming from a long list of previous BMW's as most of you know, it had to be a substantially newish car for it to be worth while upgrading. When I saw this come up for sale I jumped on it instantly, test drove and paid and collected within an hour of listing. Anyway, it ticks every single box on my requirements list - newness, powerful, practical, mod-able, and of course still BMW. (I still have my E46 which I absolutely love and would love to keep but I just dont see myself driving it as much now I have this thing which works great as a daily and a weekend car) I was lucky to find one with a sunroof which was my biggest requirement and this also came with a M performance exhaust already fitted which makes a great sound. Anyway, if you come long to the coffee meet no doubt you will see it but here are a couple of quick photos!
  7. Hi All, New to the group but I used the page and forums extensively to help me decide on my purchase of my e82 135i. My old man has had an e30 320i Baur edition for some time. It got a full engine, suspension and brake over haul last year and it got me inspired to get my own 6 cylinder bmw. With a work Ute for personal use my bm of choice didnt need to be practicle and my teenage years thrashing my Toyota Levin to and from the family Bach in Whangamata left me wanting to get back into a chuckable 2 door coupe. The reseach and trademe hunting began. It would be nice to find some thing NZ new with a service history but I realized they were pretty few and far between and the jap import stuff was often better specd. Soon I was test driving, 130i hatch with the 6speed auto, a couple of 335i one of which I didn’t even make it off the the dealers lot with engine lights on and only 5 cylinders firing from start up, serveral 135i and the later m135i in manual, auto, dct, n54 and n55. Eventually the hydraulic steering, engine and turbo noises and useabilty of the dct n55 had me focused on finding a good condition later model jap import e82 135i to fit my budget and one did! I wasn’t a big fan of the alloys it had on it but the dealer sorted this out along with Bluetooth, NZ nav and radio unlock, an autosure mechanical warranty and had it ready for me just before Christmas. 3000km of smile inducing trouble free motoring done so far. So thanks to all that post here it was a great help in in leading me to what has been a very happy purchase and I look forward to contributing to the group going forward. Cheers.
