newbie with 2 E28's

Recommended Posts

hey guys,

my name's andrew and ive come across from ECCA with for those of you that dont know it's a large aussie based car club, great members and cars there. i was sent here from a guy at bimmerforums because you guys seem to have a lot of old skool E28 stuff for sale, so i tend to make plenty use of this!

anyway a background on me, im a landscaper from Melbourne, 24yo, i own to E28's and a large mitsy triton ute with i use for my job, and my E28's are the weekend fun cars.

this 'was' the polaris E28, ive stripped it back to a standard E28 and is now just sitting in my front yard, i just have to get the courage up to sell it, it's been in the family since 87'...

and here is the new one, it's chestnut metallic which was a UK imported E28, we werent given the option of this colour here in Aus, and it's a very rare E28 colour indeed. thats 1/3 the reason i bought it, it was only 1500 cash AND it was manual, thank god!!!!!!!!! so far ive put RD springs in it which have lowered it around 30mm at all corners, BBS RS wheels 16X8, and soon to have Alpina front spoiler...

Never really thought much of the E28's.

After seeing those pics, they're actually pretty cool.

DAAAM!!! where was that hiding in a swamp?? looks like you've brought it back to it's original glory though. i bought a set of those 16's from the E39 as well but from the set of 4 only 1 was any good, actually it's in 100% condition with a tyre with 100% tread on it, so if you want it or know any1 that does please let me know cos i dont need it anymore obviously

that white E28 looks gansta stylin, not sure about the wheels though but then again it aint my car

thanks guys!

got from a farm north of welsford .

had a blown ecu , worn cam lobs , square tyres , cracked screen , full of %#^&*&^^.

looked like he had been mixing concreate in the boot .

we stuck a ecu in from my wifes 535i , got it started and drove home about 1.5 hrs away . had to stop to change a realy bad wheel with a bump in it .

....

have since changed the blue interior to black , fitted a semi rebuilt std engine into it . wheels , ,screen , dash , cleaned up rust in the boot , brakes , bushes , new suspesion , lowered springs now (not in pics) , and just about to fit the

M-power engine to it for its half a million KM birthday .(from a sth african e23 M745i)

then will get it repainted .

also have some PP for it .

I 545 I
