single point of failure?

Recommended Posts

a number of things suddenly stopped working in my car recently.

the tachometer, economy meter, clock, radio, inside lights, boot light.

I am sure they are linked as they stopped working at the same time, is there a "single point of failure" that would cause all of this? and how to fix?

I have a 1989 E30 M325i

its a fuse, 7.5 amp mine did the same for sooo long, make sure your glove box light isn't shorting out!!! That was the problem in mine, i just disconnected its a poor design. Hope this helps you!

The reason is the contacts are so close together that they keep touching, and yes all those things are one circuit.
