can get new 5spd for around $4k and 6 spd for about $5-6k .

have seen 5spd on ebay.de but most of the guys cant be bothered shipping out of germany.

uk prices are dearer about 1000-1200pound for 6spd ones.

us about 1500usd 6spd.

so realy want the germany price . dont realy need a 6spd a 5spd will do .

I think you'll find the shipping costs will be horrendous Brent. I looked at getting a body kit out of the UK last year and the cost of the packaging alone was more than the shipping.

brent, why not look at modifying a bellhousing of a toyota box or similar. W58s are often put behind 1uzfe toyota V8s, so would be plenty strong enough. Even a heaver duty nissan box should be up to the task. And miles cheaper than importing an unknown condition m60 gbox

i would probably go with the above, despite it being sparkles suggestion

i have a 6spd evo box that I can't bring myself to pay what I paid for the box to ship it back to nz. would offer to help if i had the space - i think it just ends up being way too pricey

if i have to i will do something like that . i think even a m30 getrag 260 box is good enough .

theres a guy on Tm selling one with a chev 350 v8 adaptor on a getrag 260

would yo be able to make some inquires about one .

just a 5spd box would be fine ,doesn't have to be a 6spd.

with flywheel woul dbe good.

from a e32 730i v8 or e34 530i v8, e38 730i 735i e39 535i etc

thanks

what does shipping cost ??

6 speed manual 750 GBP (M60)

sea freight to NZ 250 GBP

let me know if interested & i will point you to the supplier.

Thats incredibly cheap. Id like to know where that price came from too.....its not the seafreight thats expensive is all the fuss they have to go to with the packing. It all has to be treated wood these days and it costs a fortune.

had price on a 6spd 540i one with flywheel ,clutch and gear lever mech

$1800usd plus $500usd fr8

so its getting better but still quite high realy .

i still like the $379euro's for a 5spd on in germany

but the buggers dont reply when you ask about freighting it . even with a enlish and german (babel fish translate)

questions

you need to get onto "shogun" on the e34 site, he has lots of contacts in germany...

to be honest I wouldn't hold out too much hope for ebay people..If someone asked me to pack something up and send it halfway across the world, I really couldn't be arsed compared to someone coming and picking it up. Also the babelfish questions won't make a lick of sense..w

sorry to drag this back up, but how much would it cost approx to get a custom made bell housing for an R154, supra/soarer/chaser gearbox and where would you go to get this done?
