E30 Tail light leak..

Hi,

Anyone with the dreaded e30 taillight leak found a solution to it yet? .. Its started happening to Ollie also now.

ha i just fixed this on my sisters E30

common problem with the seals it seams.

get a tube of windscreen sealant(non setting..so it remmains stickey for ages)(dont wanna get urethane by mistake and never get your tail lights out ever again)

take out ya lights, and run a beed around both sides of the foam seal.

make sure theres no gaps in the line of goo(use prepsol or any weakish solvent to remove any mistakes.

yeap thats why you dont use urethane ;)

then you can pull it back off without having to get out the gas axe

Yeah, Ive got it too, water from the tail light running down to form a pool where the jack sits. Its a c**t. Now I've got to figure how I'm going to apply the sealant. Its sitting in my glove box.
