Jesus, I know Kris through the Ford RS owners club. I certainly have a fair idea how much time and money has been put into this. I hope he gets more than $15,000 for it.

Has never been rough so would've been another car.

Sounds have been redone a few times.

The guy who said this is 500hp is fkn dreaming to be honest. Unless there's some seriously big mods not listed, there's no way this car is worth anywhere close to 500hp.

if someone just wants to tune up to a VERY rapid (500HP +) car

He said if someone wanted to make it into a 500hp car and remove the sounds, they could.

Which it would be capable of with some big mods, Yeah?

Yip, my bad, shoulda read more carefully. Though why you would chose thia wagon for a 500hp car is beyond me.

Doesn't appeal to me all that much to be quite honest.

500hp out of a four pot engine would be really achieving something, having said that i can't imagine it being reliable (at all).

There's a chap in the U.K with the same engine in a Sapphire Cosworth that is making 950HP

500HP is not all that hard with these engines, light mods, no internal engine work will get you just a touch under 400HP

And Greg, you'd be surprised there's a tonne of these in the U.K making that power and more....

Yeah, no I'm afraid not. I'm talking about REAL horsepower, not boy-racer "nah bro it's been on the dyno" horsepower. There's no way you're getting 500hp out of this engine with "light mods", and if you're dumb enough to try without internal work, you deserve a connecting rod in the face when it explodes.

I'm assuming you've owned one of these then?.

If not you need to do your homework......

Yes 500HP requires internal work....

These cossies are monsters. With a simple remap and some supporting mods they were making BIG POWER. I'll try dig up the article

What is the difference between REAL horsepower and DYNO horsepower pray tell? Ive tried googling and I cannot find the difference Im afraid..

Even Wikipedia has no information regarding real and dyno horsepower differences..

This car is badass. If i had the money i'd buy it.

Ollie, i to hope he gets more than 15k for it also.. He has engineered that sound system very well.

They were making over 450hp without opening the block up in DTM and ETCC back in 1992. You are a tool.

+1

It's a pretty well known fact in the car world (where i bet most of us live) that cossie engines are bullit-proof powerhouses that'll easily shame most euros with a little work... some engines were just damn good, thats all i'll say.
