ya i've contemplated that also.

we have increased the throw and the syncro's are doing good so far...

We can look at it again once the throw is less vague... its gotten worse since i've increased the throw... i can't find 3rd!

Righto...

Mister MLM has had a play with my spare leaver for the gearbox and has used some bronze pillow bushes to help get rid of the slop in the leaver... Hopefully this will allow me to find third gear...!!!!!!!!

From what I understand

ATW figure is a different beast altogether from fly torque which is what we use to compare different cars with. Atw - is usually magnified by moment couples about the gears/diff/wheels

For example, a lot of turbos have 1200nm atw, but are in fact in the 300-400nm at the fly.

Regardless - your car has plenty of both tq and pwr from what I experienced :D

70.02 HP per Ltr (133.6 HP @ Wheels)

the bimmers that where there:

93 E36 M3 = 74.96 HP per Ltr (224.1 HP @ Wheels)

95 E36 328i Coupe = 50.51 HP per Ltr (141.1 HP @ Wheels)

89 E30 320i Touring = 53.35 HP per Ltr (133.1 HP @ Wheels)

87 E30 325i = 48.33 HP per Ltr (120.5 HP @ Wheels)

So i'm happy with the figures... should be really interesting once i get more rev's in the car

What gear was it run in?

Saw on of the other plots floating around was run in 3rd gear, explains the high torque figure.

Ya my sheet says 3rd gear also... i'm trying to work out how to use the final drive and gear ratio to get an idea of what it might be... not too fussed the curve looks good... wouldn't mind getting rid of that dip at 4k tho

Went for a good drive last night...

Car hooks up amazing out of the corners and had both wheels spinning out of a 2nd gear corner. Super nimble!!! changes direction soo soo nicely...

The only problem was i was getting use to the car and decided 4th is too long now as 138ish in 3rd is very easy to get to....

I need more power i think also... car started to feel slow towards the end of the drive...

currently has 135 hp @ wheels i think the new target will be a min of 160hp @ wheels...
