FIRST CAR-E30

Recommended Posts

Hey guys. Im new to bimmersport,

just got my restricted licence about a week ago which means i can finally drive round my e30!!! (1988 316i)

Had the car about a year or so now (since i was 13 nearly 14). When it first arrived it was a mess i bought it off some 16 year old who in 4 weeks had managed to put dents in every panel from having bottles thrown at it and people jumpng on roof etc. Also it arrived with no back springs therefore it was scraping along the ground and was green stickered. The car was a mess but the guy hadn't owned it long enough to ruin the engine. Although the diff is stuffed and gearbox and clutch are all pretty worn.

over the last year i've been slowly bring it back up to scratch, Dad and I had managed to get the whole body of the car looking mint with a bit of help from the dent man (works mirracals). Dad and i sanded it and primed until it was ready for the paint shop. (got it painted the original colour)

316i 1988, Coupe, done 170 000kms, manual

Bought some factory recaros from sd European and got them re clothed

M tech II steering wheel

Recently bought some new 17"s to replace the bottlecaps. ( 17x7.5 40p, was suprised the offset fitted although it did need spacers on the front)

King springs (Havent yet shortened the shocks, anyone know of somewhere cheap where i can get this done??)

Pioneer head unit, sony 6x9s, 2x12" fusion sub with amp.

4" big bore

uniden alarm

I hope to get a m tech II kit one day

Tints are coming in a week or so.

So thats my ride, hope you like it!!!

Look foward to talking to you all!

Is that a clock in your cluster? Badass.

That or your idle is like 5000rpm

Welcome to Bimmersport. Two young 316i Coupe drivers from Hamilton called Brook, what’s the chances.

Cool first car man, wish I could have afforded an E30 when I was your age!

Lol at clock in cluster… so cool.

Welcome to BS Brook.

Good to see you're looking after your first car and doing some nice mods to it too rather than just "slamming it on chromies"

Welcome Brookfromhamilton2

Good to see you saved the car, as nice examples of e30s are getting harder and harder to find!

Enjoy your time here.

Ha ive seen your car a few times already, love the e30 station wagons ay, stands out and looks mint as.

Black mags on white car just finishes it off. I seen it at the base a couple days ago.

It makes me wish i bought the white one used as sd europeans company car when i had the chance.
