When we were snooping around near the Russian Navy Base this conscript guy came up to us and told us something in Russian, then when he realized we didn't speak it ( Indrek can but decided to just act like he couldn't lol ) the soldier guy bluntly told us to leave now or we will get into trouble haha. It is home of the biggest Nuclear power station in Europe along with a huge god dam which at it's time of construction was the biggest in Europe. Even though now it isn't the biggest in Europe it is still pretty damn huge. We went there to look at some old Cossack stuff but I was more interested in the dam and some powerlines, if you know what I mean. Here are some lame photos. The Dnieper Hydroelectric Station. If you want to flood some sh*t, bomb this. An old bus Some shoes some Cossack had which are now pretty old or something like that. While people were taking photos of some church, I took a photo of the powerlines. If you want to city to lose power, bomb this. A 1000 year old hole, that used to have Cannons in it or something. I have decided that I am going to force myself to sell my car at the end of the year and move back here for 6 months. With the money from my car I have calculated I could live here for 6 months no problem, and if I'm a real tight ass I could proberly survive here for a year on the money just from the sale of my car. Here are some photos. My mate Indrek took a lot of them because I have been good at forgetting my camera lately, and some of them are photos he took of the city in general. Cheap fags at the shop, under $2 a packet. The centre of Dnepropetrovsk. The Communist Party van before the elections Hotel in centre of city Communist as apartment blocks Me and Olya, a good friend here Nikolay, Indrek, Me. The Ukraine at it's worst! Old front of building in the centre of the city Vodka yum A stray dog, there are thousands of them. They dont have a SPCA here. Outside in suburbia My friend Juliya's building Outside friends house, for some reason I find photos like this interesting And finally my friend Stevie ( from the Philippines ) and his awesome mullet. But I'm only going to be young and stupid once, and I think in 10 years time I wont want to be running around Eastern Europe anymore. I could always buy an e30 over here.. I've seen some pretty crack up rusty cars around. The best was this R31 skyline coupe slammed on its tits with rusted out panels and a hole in the exhaust. Man it was rough, but it was so damn cool. It was RHD as well, and all cars here at LHD. I wanted to take a photo but the driver looked like the type of guy who would quite happily stab someone haha. I also saw a great drag race last night in the centre of town too. A E34 Touring VS a late 90's Lada. The Lada won by miles. They both went over the tram tracks way too fast in the wet and lost tractions, were all over the place, and then the touring locked up and stopped just in time before it slammed into the back of a truck.
