So, yeah...my new Euro

Recommended Posts

Ah, the memories !!

I can remember helping a mate do an engine swap in his side valve Morrie back in about '85

We didn't even use an engine hoist - just stradled the block and lifted it out !!

Try that with a BMW V12 :)

It's still in the system aye?

I woudn't sell it getting rear now, hell the only one I've seen and especially for the money you wan't, it won't get you far I'd rather have that BMW any day.

Does your 3.0 run?

Needs re-vinning, but have investigated and it's going to be super easy, and yep the 3.0Si runs.

They were great little cars in their day

My mum and I had one of those many years ago. A mate of mine Michael Ryan and Jimmy Richards (yes JR) we did our apprenticships at the same time, back when JR first started racing Escorts, they put a midget Ford V8 60 into one. I also had a 69 Ute running a 1300cc, cam, extractors and side draught. I wish I still owned that. Went on our honeymoon in it.

That's a great pic! I don't think I'll be modifying this baby.

Cool photo Glenn, not himatangi is it? - long shot, time warp that RX2, morry ute and a Mk2 van,

Doogle that Morry looks nana spec, how did you aquire that?

Iaquired it from the chap I am working for in Carterton with all the delicious cars in one of my other threads I started. He has given it to me as a token of thanks for all the work I have done over the last year or so.

Here's a test for Friday morning what is the brown car sitting next to that morry in post 1.

I say a HA viva?

Yup, Viva, one owner since new. Absolutely immaculate. You should see his one owner MK3 cortina and MK2 escort Ghia.

Nothing on his Hudon/terraplanes or His mercury, buicks, Caddilac, Chryslers, plymoths.....I could go on =D

Hillman Avenger ...square headlight, headlight surround, aerial in the right place, the mirror & the colour

It's a Viva

I was hoping it would be a 4/90, but, no....

would do anything for that rx2

I was rebuiding mine at the time. I had exactly the same one in white as well, that one in the picture was my father inlaws. I was service Manager at Giltrap Mazda at the time. I was doing a stage 2 and dual exhaust system. I wish I still owned that as well as the Morry Ute now. I needed the ute for the dogs (Dobermans)
