Show us your lowered E36

Recommended Posts

Now i know there have been lots of talks on this website about different lowering springs etc , but what i really want to see is pics of your e36 describing what size wheels, type of springs/shocks and if what you have done is legal etc etc ....

I am still thinking about getting super low jamex springs fitted but have heard mixed reviews ????

Here is a pic of mine :

Wheels/tyres - 225/40/18-8

Springs/shocks - Factory Msport

Look- Not low enough in my opinion ,ride could also be stiffefend up somewhat !!

Show us yours , dont forget to give detailed description of wheel size etc.

Sorry couldn't upload pic, can view on my profile pic !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Not yet mate, but it will be certed. The car is popular enough with the plod and I'm in no way interested in anymore reason to pay more $$$ in fines.

Guest Ari Gold

slammed on 19s

Best of the thread.

Tidy up the rear camber and flare the arches, and we're golden.

Reminds me of the STW racecars.

I have factory Msport suspension and it already scrapes on my driveway, my mate's driveway, and some shop driveways (nearly beached it trying to get into Noel Leeming Lower Hutt on Wednesday)

no way can I drop mine any lower, unless I don't want to take my car anywhere lol

It can sit with the top of the rims just at the guards.

Just not practical though.

Wheels/tyres - 235/40/17 Toyo Proxes CT01. I love these tyres.

Springs/shocks - Springs no idea. Shocks are konis

Well ... this is more of a heightened E36 B)

Still lower than stock and slightly lower than the M-Tech that comes standard with the IS BMW's

I don't race or track the car and the old suspensions were just too low for daily driving.

Before - unknown shocks and springs - not very good setup, uncomfortably low, kept scraping over speed bumps and parking entrances = AVERAGE

Now - H&R touring cup setup from Keith - great ride, height comfort and feeling very planted and secure in the curves = AWESOME

BTW - if you are looking for a proper suspension talk to Keith at Suspension Progress (forum sponsor).

He knows what he's doing. I can testify :)

P.S. If you are interested in the old springs I'm looking to part with them and willing to do it cheaply. They still have life in them. No shocks dough - they were not well paired with the springs and are scrap.

Probably better if you are in Wellie or close enough to avoid shipping $$. I can provide pics on Monday as they are at the garage.

PM me and we can arrange something. If no one is interested I'll put them on TradeMe.

Cheers.

there you go Glenn
