I don't know miles or gallons ... so i'll give it in km and litres ..

BMW 316ti 2004 E46 manual

I usually get on average 650-700kms out of one tank of 60litres ....(i know it's 63L tank but i fill 60 everytime)...

And that is doing 90% in town and 10% on motorway at 108kph.

I get pretty darned good gas milage from my 1990 E30 (5spd) with just general everyday driving, but then I only need low revs with its reasonably high torque so can easily dawdle around at 1500 - 1750 revs comfortably.

On the open road I drove from Hamilton to Wellington, did a bit of driving in Wellington and then filled up again at Otaki on the way back. Generally I would like to think I would get 650kms - 700km's on a tank of gas (62l) and a mixture of open road and town driving.

When I really push the car, the good gas milage goes out the window in a big way.

I am pretty sure that the changed ECU will not affetc this at all (unless my driving behaviour changes)

Cheers

In my old E30 318 I got 160km from 10 litres. That works out to about 6.6km/l.

Haven't worked out what i get in the 525, the gague is so inaccurate its not worth the hassle.

BMW 535IS

E34

1990

Manual

12.4 L 100 KM easy round town driving

very easy open road driving 10 l 100 k

slightly more sporting or hilly 11 l 100 k

I knew Cain would beat me...sigh modern technology i spose..

when i bought my car the guy i bought it lived in ponsonby and worked in the middle of Auckland CBD,where in rush hour it takes about 7 ttraffic light changes brfore you can get across the intersection....the obc said 17 l 100 k!!!

Still the big tank makes for a good range tho, wellington Auckland on one tank,be pretty low tho......

my 1998 e36 323i auto

8.2km/litre = 19.29 mpg

running on 96 fuel

the figure seems a bit low (use lots of fuel), comments?

note: I don't drive "THAT" hard. Full rev couple of times per tank only and keep below 3000 other times.
