Updated first post.

So its all go for the trackday at Hampton Downs for the 28th August….

Prepayments are now no longer accepted so its $150 for the day if you missed out. (cash or eftpos)

Rental Transponders are available at $30, Credit card imprint will be required in case you don’t return it at the end of the day as they cost $700 new.

Driver sign in is at 8:30am in the big white pavilion in the centre of the track.

Food will also be available at the same location via Austin’s who are opening up for the morning

Requirements are a helmet and cotton overalls. Cars need a current WOF or Log book (or a quick look over by myself)

I will run a fast and slow group as well as a newbie’s class if numbers/newbie’s permit.

Look forward to seeing you all there.

I didn't see you there Phil, what time did you leave mate?

Judging by the photos, you left before it dried up?

A big thanks to James and the staff @ HD... I had an awesome day. Met some new faces and some old ones. Really enjoyed the day.... and yes...the little girls car can go round corners sideways in the wet & the dry :P Really had a great time and I'm sure everyone else did. I hope someone got pictures of me sideways :D

Awesome shots! ...

What a great day! Thanks Jamez and April and co. Really enjoyed it and learning the e30. One thing I need is some blimmin semi slicks as about a lap and a half and road tires dont really work.

I got sick of having to steer with the throttle hahah..

Very impressed with some of the other cars out there.. Hampton really does turn up some suprises.

I found out one thing... the e30 is much faster than rs4's and HSV GXPs :D so cant ask much more than that.

The only thing that gave me the shits was the big compression lockup on the end of the front straight I had and seems I over heated my LSD as it made some pretty aweful sounds ... it unlocked however. Sounded like I broke a half shaft when it happened which isnt fun at 190kph :/

However all is fine when I let the thing cool down.

Yeah mate, I was gone by around 12pm - I was on my way to Hamilton for work so it tied in pretty well. You arrived later on ?

Sorry Ian (Ian 540i6) that we didn't get that ride in - time got away on me. Great to meet though:-

Good to see there was no carnage in the wet

Thanks James for organising

cheers James,

had fun today, shame i couldnt actually finish a 10min session in the two-toned

e28  . nevermind

was good to see what happens when boost is applied 99% of the time.

shame its back on the hoist, overheated badly a number of times and we

all know where those issues lead. <_<

keep the pics coming guys-really want to see me facing the wrong way in the mud,

should have have had a camera onboard.

cheers m

Cheers James and April, had such a fun day. Have some cool in car footage of T.i Twinkle Toes and Side Step Stoker.

I'm glad we had a few sessions of deluge, made me appreciate a dry track and gave me alot more respect for a wet road.

The 540i's were the cars of the day in my books, full package.. Reliability.. Performance.. Sound.. Looks (from the side only, pity about the front :P) and you can still tow ya boat to the water with them..

Hey Marty.. did you send them an invoice for your landscaping work??
