Professional Beer Tester / Stunt Cock. These two jobs are closely related, I can assure you.

I also act as Rusty McAlpine's agent. Pity I haven't been able to get him anything other than roles in gay midget porn, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do in this business, eh Rusty?

Seriously, I'm training to be a flair / cocktail bartender at one bar, head porter at another, bartender at another, glassy / barback at yet another. I whore myself out wherever.

Do a bit of home theatre / technology installation on the sly too (read: under ze table)

I'm a Systems Engineer @ A J Park which is an Intellectual Property law firm.

Been here 2 years now, managed to work on a DNS project/contract here which got my foot in the door and went straight to Systems Engineer skipping helpdesk and System Admins.

Came straight from uni where I spent 3 and a bit years doing a BCOM in Info Sys, E-Com and Multimedia.

Also did multimedia and web design while at varsity and worked as a storeman at Mainfreight Transport in my first and second years... I've never sworn so much in a job before... Fork lift races at teh end of the night were good and getting to travel up and down the country in trucks.. :)

now, i'm leaving for england and have no idea of what i'll do when i get there. i'm hoping nothing in terms of work, but that's only if i have some sort of magical bank balance that never decreases...

it could happen...

Land Surveyor/Beginner property developer.

Four years at varsity funded by barwork. Started as a cleaner, worked my way through glassy/bartender, got into pub promotions and then started my own gig guide (since shut down partly coz I got bored with it, partly due to threats from a community group about discrimination blah blah, human rights commission, blah blah). Helped a mate start up a new bar.

plan on surveying funding my property ventures, and then the property ventures funding my lifestyle/would like to open a couple of bars.

Studied to be a Civil Engineer, ended up at BECA too...

then left the engineering field completely to be a software developer.

Currently a civil servant with an education authority using Struts, and occasionally dabble with EJBs that S----- created.

Look out .NET, here comes EJBs (yeah right).

Supply Chain Co-ordinator at a large Logistics company.

Started nearly 3 years ago in the Uni holidays when we were small. Uni was going back and they asked me to stay part time in between my lectures. I made the decision to work their full time and study part time as I wasn't in any hurry to finish my degree and was enjoying the income.

Managed to move into an office position after a year and I've now been in the office for 2 years. Really enjoy the company of the people I work with and *most* the customers I deal with.

The company has grown from 10 people to about 40 over the 3 years and we've moved from a 20,000 square foot warehouse into a 45,000 square foot warehouse, soon to be 80,000... It's a great industry to be in at the moment with huge growth.

I work in parts, at one of the flasher workshops in palmerston north, servicing the workshop and retail blah blah blah

used to work at transport wholesale just down the road, came to what i percieved was the highest I could move within the group...... was there for 18months when I was headhunted for here and a couple other places, didn't wanna leave the area.

previous to that I worked after school, then full time with my old man, truck workshop while I decided what I "wanted to do" uni didn't appeal to me, although I had ample qualification to jump in there. secured my job at twl through mocking the rep, NEVER listen to anybody that says being a smartarse gets you nowhere, it's blatantly obvious that that's untrue, for me anyway

munts: that debt collecting sounds like ALOT of fun, lol

I work as a Visual Information System (VIS) Consultant with software that we have been developing (quite a new thing for me, and a product we are still very much getting off the ground)

http://www.infinitysolutions.co.nz/Product...Systems%20(VIS)

Prior to this I worked as a Business Consultant for RDT Pacific (and then subsequently Infinity Solutions, after they bought out RDT Pacific) for 7 years.

I started at RDT Pacific straight after leaving University (I did a Bachelor of Management Study with hons - majoring in Strategic Management and Marketing, and also have completed a PGrad in Communication).

I got the job while drinking booze with the ex CEO. He asked when I was finishing Uni, I said 8 weeks, and I started straight after that. Hence I have never had a job interview in my life, neither do I have a CV.

While going through Uni (5 1/2 years for what I did) I worked about 30 - 40 hours a week in a video store, and also coached junior squash.

Cheers
