what to do with this 94 NZ new M3

Recommended Posts

plus 1 on the ti idea.

swap of parts would be a whole lot more simple too.

its a sickness with me and e30's i had a very mint 86 325 tech 1 many years ago and ill always have a soft spot for them.

yeah my 530 is 5 speed and its soon to be a 535 as iv been given a free 635csi motor done half the ks of my motor.

oh and Brent thats a nice repower you went with man.

i thought the 4.4 came with a 6 speed if you were lucky enough to find a manual?

what box did you use and how much drama was it to fit up

oh ok , so yours is the 6cyl model yes much easier to swap to a 3.5L 6cyl.

just be aware of mouting the older 635csi engine as they have different engine mounting points , you may need to make some adaptor plates for the left side engine mount depending on what year the engine is from .

also sawp the sump over .

the old 635csi engine should have the 10:1 cr 218hp engine which is mor ethan the e34 535i had 9:1 cr with 211hp .

but , best to run the 635csi engine on the e34 engine loom etc and get a e34 535i or e32 735i ecu . or just get the e34 3L ecu remaped to get the best out of the engine .

the 1993 530i i have was a 3L v8 with 5spd auto .

i brought it off a guy who tried to fit a later 3.5l v8 and 5spd manual , but he never got it going ,

i manage to get it going but i had a spare 4.4L sitting around so fitted that to it .

+2 wagon it

X3.

E36 M3 Touring to OEM spec.

Your family needs M3 power, teachers have reported students are 40% more attentive in class when driven to school with M power and wives have been known to say the day to day jobs that were once mundane become pleasant, even enjoyable with M power.

Do it for the kids.

Or sell it and go on holiday.

E36 M3 race car. /thread.

Nah, there more played out than the only two e30/s50b32s in the country.

Ti sounds like a good idea. the b30 engine would work quite well with the small body.

I like your idea but give the ti a 3" roof chop and do what im doing to the guards on my m3 seadn.

Flair the snot out of the guards with a roller and some heat iv got one side just how i want it now its the driver sides turn.
