Good stuff on your personal touches.

Just a FYI with the guards. I would be very careful before using a guard roller on them. They have been extruded and rewelded, you run the risk of damaging that work that was done. EG the front gaurds are actually three gaurds welded together.

good luck bud.

Those pictures are definitely alot better. Ride height is perfect, what suspension is it sitting on?

It is just the rears that need doing more. At the moment it is only just touching, even half a degree of camber would probably fix it.

KW v2

You're looking at pushing out gaurds that have already been flared. The rears have been pumped and shaved to keep the profile of the edge. Rolling it with a guard roller will bend the flat edge and most likely crack the paint even with heating it.

You can go the camber route this will wreck the geometry and neutral turn in. The suspension was setup professionally to retain the handling characteristics it has (I spent near on a grand getting it setup right). Changing will add lift off oversteer.

Not saying you cant do anything of this ... there are going to be adverse effects is all.

Woah, definitly grew on me.

I like. Did GT refinishers paint them up for you? I think I saw you in there the other day ( they are right next to our work room)

ahhh thanks for that josh!

and for the camber side of things, I just went to the alignment specialist and decreased the camber from -1.5 to -2.5 and nope, still rubbing..

I've organised a guard roller to come around and try work the back out a TAD so it doesnt rub, its mostly on the left hand thats rubbing.

and josh, by what you said, you mean the rears were cut then pumped out then welded back on?

edit:

and yep! GT refinishers painted them! good guys they are, willing to help always and grant is a good guy haha

The rears weren't welded only the fronts have this.

The whole car was cut back to bare metal, the rear guards where then pumped out using a hydraulic ram to suit the new wheel offset, then the metal was shaved and sanded flat again to remove any rippling or imperfections (no bog). Then the car was repainted.

This was the only way not to damage the double skin on the gaurds.

ahhh I see I see, The fronts are ok, the offset on the fronts are perfect and have no issues, its just the back.

So the back seems to be ok to roll just maybe 2-3mm out.

that must of been ALOT of coin to do that! If I ever spent however much you spent on this car, i would never sell it haha!

and i find it silly how thick the double skin is on the lip of the guard.. its about 10mm thick!

If youre going all out .. Buy some spare wing mirror covers and paint them to balance it :) They are just covers that can be removed easy enough and im pretty sure ray will have some up there to test it on.

Also the boot 'spoiler' lip ... all the same colour as the wheels.

Carbon fiber Vorstiener splitter and done ..

Now you have changed the grill and inner headlights maybe tint the front side markers darker to match.

haha! the wing mirror thing has been done to death so i'm going with something abit different this time :P

the boot spoiler isnt a bad idea too, but im wanting to red out the taillights with some vinyl film so that might be enough red at the back?

splitter wise, still thinking which one i want to go for :P might just custom it and make my myself!

yeah! i still havent got time to doing that yet, I was going to open up the headlights and tint the inside so there wouldn't be anything stuck on the outside the coppies will see!

post-3258-1313737065.jpgf you are after up to 4mm you can machine out some of the offset but you must (IMO) fit carbon steel reinforcement inserts - as per my photos

whoaa that looks expensive haha.

I've painted the wheels already so I'll just roll the guards a little, it'll work!

Guy is coming around at 9pm and doing it then!
