Thanks to Hellboy`s skill and patience it fits. We have decided to graft the M5 front suspension on elimanating the need for a dry sump.(courtesy of Kyrie @ Quest Fabrication) This will also enable us to take advantage of the M5 bigger brakes/ floating rotors.

What the header clearance to the steering arm like?

Close but workable. Steering ratio in the M5 Steering box is 14.7:1 compared to the 540 17.9:1 ratio and the 15.4:1 of the E46 M3.

I feel pretty good about the M5 Style 65 option although that might change upon completion.

Latest update. Things are moving along nicely. S62 is in place on a adapted M5 subframe. Hardtop arrived today and went straight on (thanks `Ari Gold` for coming up with the best price, worth the 2 month wait ex. Germany)Tommorrow is the exhaust M5/M3 combo installation.

Experimenting with E92/E46 M3 front hybrid struts with adjustable tophats to replace the M5 struts. Results to come.

looks awesome ray! :) I've always loved the lines of the hardtop on e46 m3 cabs.

Looks absolutely stunning in person! Pretty close fitment, an amazing job indeed!

I for one have not seen another E46 cab with a hardtop in NZ - great addition.

How's that loom coming along Ray?

I thought that too until I saw a silver one yesterday. Are they very heavy?
