Is that in your road going E36 M3 mate? (standard?)

Hi-Tek

Standard no - suspension-brakes-R888's etc

I'm going to start a project tread with mods done

Josh

Cheers

Exhaust next then maybe into the 17's :P

Was an interesting day. 4 groups

G1 Motorbikes (those guys are insane)

G2 mixture of road cars and race cars

G3 Porsches & Ferraris

G4 Race cars & me

It was a new experience being one of the slowest cars on the track and of course no overtaking under braking didn't apply to these guys\cars

Which freaked me out in the first session.

It also made it hard to get a clean lap in, as I didn't want to hold them up.

That's good going Mark.

I've managed a 1:13.1 at Hampton in my old car.

I'm looking to buy something road legal and BMW that will be around the 1:15 mark.

I'm thinking E46 M3 with some mods but am not sure how acheivable that really is.

That's a nice time! Would be happy with 1.18's

Hope to get out in my car at some point when its fixed and see what it can do. More because I'm sick of people asking how fast it is and I have no idea.

Road legal car in the 1.15's would be fast.. slicks on a well set up E46 would maybe get there.

I did a 1:16.9 in my e30 with no seats and a race shell / old slicks etc I reckon I could shave another 1.5 maybe more off that but have been chasing brake gremlins the past two track days so haven't had the chance.

Ollie, I think for the e46 m3 its just a weight thing, the more you can take out the better the time will be. It will give you a lot of confidence for sure, and there are a lot of suspension mods you can do and stay DD. Have a chat with Ray and ask nicely to take his for a drive when you're back:)
