Supercharging an e30

Has anyone ever tried to put a sc12 from a 4agze on an m20b25 i have got the whole kit sitting around and wondered if it was possible??

try one of those clutch units, an Eaton M45 or M62.. I think the odd Merc has those.

Better yet just get a twin screw whipple... no need for a nasty intercooler! Although they are costly. :rolleyes:

Still, I think you're best to just go the turbo route for cost effectiveness.

The charger is too small for your size engine is what he means, they are used fon 1600cc engines.

I however used a SC14 on my 3.0l and made a huge difference so should be fine.

What do you mean to small???

It dosent move enough air. By the time you spin it up fast enough to make any decent amount of boost it will be well out of its efficiently range and be pumping hot air.

The larger SC14 unit would be better, but they still aint that great. Most people who do it end up pulling them off shortly after and going for something else.

eaton m90 off a v6 holden or turbo which is the better pick

blowers all come with a cfm rating and the sc14 is maxed at 150kw as much as itll work to some degree its still not right

hard to come by now replace the needle roller bearings in the back end and they work well

When I bought my charger I thought, sweet, cheap upgrade to more power...not so much.
