slowe30 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2012 drove one a while back and it handled amazingly, didnt go very fast but defintaly corners great. and toyota have done a good job on the auto gearbox to, shifted fast and when you told it to, no delays. just waiting for subaru to bring out an sti version, subaru have never realeased a non turbo sti and at my guess they will continue that. Ahh the benifits of working at a dealership. and the engines not a ej20, its a completely new engine realsed eariler this year in the new designed forester, its not got fancy vvt on both intake and exhaust (i think, might only be intake on some models) chain drive, and alot more, thats just the ones i can remember. and its called an FB20 Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

The great selling point of the GT is the $48K price tag. The TRD is $65K which is a hang of allot for bigger brakes, two extra exhaust tips and a smaller spoiler. I was also a fan of the NZGT AE82, have had a few and they are great fun cars, this new 86 is very good, have had a good drive of one and thoroughly enjoyed myself, driving position and seats are perfect and the chassis balance is very nice. The difference between 5 and 7 for example, one is rather average and the other is just a tad impressive. Personally I like them both, and if they stick around I may even buy one in a few years time. The specs on paper are very similar to a 328i; ~1300kg, ~150kw, RWD, coupe etc. Yet it is obviously in a different league.
