Headliner material supply?

Recommended Posts

Headlining has started drooping on my e36 coupe with sunroof.

I'm all for fixing it myself, but I don't know where to get the material, I've searched the forum but couldn't see a shop mentioned.

Needs to be black, 3mm foam backed preferred, unless anyone has a better recommendation on material choice.

Auckland please

Will use 3m 90 spray adhesive, or try get 3m headliner & fabric spray adhesive

Just called them, they reckon 45buck per meter plus gst. And I would need 2.5 meter. Plus postage to Auckland

So approx $150 for material plus p&p, then another 90 or so on glue hmmmmm

And don't forget the 2 days sanding off all the old foam and glue.

Took me about 30 min to remove liner and residual foam. Once it starts drooping it almost removes itself.

Just wish I'd made a better choice with the fabric :(

Got some 3mm foam backed material and bostik supertak spray adhesive and retrimmed my headliner a few days ago.

... Looks brilliant! I'm very happy.

And that sunroof interior panel was a bitch to figure out, but it can be removed without removing the complete sunroof cassette.

Will get up some pics at some stage
