Looking to buy this car- has anyone had any experience with this deale

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys,

I've been seriously considering getting this 530 http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-662908761.htm

The guy seems to sell a lot of Euros - went there about 3 months ago to look at an E39 he had, bid on his auction (had a low reserve) and a day before it finished he withdrew it -possibly because the price was low or he got an offer outside of TM

Has anyone bought a car from here? I'm worried about his bad feedback with a constant thread of 'car not as described'. Will go and have a look at it next week but looks like the car comes with no service history...

Thanks

J

Would tread carefully and do your home work on it.

Was first rego NZ 15 feb 2010 you would need to know about it's history from previous owners

Japan 2003

Assembled 10/2003

At 148,833k's if nothing has been done to the cooling, suspension, seats, trim, oil leaks, etc etc would be having a few $$$ put aside for maintenace work.

Also it still has the early model amber side pieces in the headlights, side indicators and amber rear indicators.

Go have a look. If you're not confident but are interested, it'd be worth having a word with a specialist and ask for a PPI - it'll cost a few bucks, but could save you a lot in the long run.

When I bought the 320d, I did as suggested above - included some immediate expenditure in my budget.

Regardless, at $3k it'd be cheap wheels. However, I'd expect to see the auction pulled if that is all it got to.

Look at his feedback. Seems like its not only 1 or 2 that felt misleaded with the description. PPI is highly recommended.

Edit: It does feel like its a "home mechanic dealer". Just look at his buy/sell history.
