Thanks. Going into Jerry Clayton tomorrow to get some slow oil leaks sorted. Will probably fit the new front tyres soon and do tracking as well. Nothing will need doing until the oil service due in 22000km

22000kms until the next oil change. That's a bit long to wait?

That's the dash readout that changes with how the car has been driven . I'd personally change the oil at least every 10k but I've only done 2k in this car since the inspection II 5 months ago.

Dash readout is stupid 10000 kms or 12 months. Max for an m engine

Agreed. I think most people would do it much sooner. My post was more referring to having to take it into BMW at that time so you would get the dash reset, pay them for the service and get the stamp.

From my experience it seems most I saw use this large service interval from NZ new (as I assume that's what the warranty allows for?). It is obviously BMW's recommendation. I have seen at least 5 NZ new cars with this kind of interval from new.

This looks like a mint car and a shame it wasn't around when I was looking.

GLWS!

Hopefully the guys in the M Tech division knew what they were doing! JC gave me a BMW X1 as a courtesy car ha! Quite like the iDrive though.
