New car - Avus Blue E36 M3 1995

Recommended Posts

After quite a while of looking I happen to come across this very tidy and genuine NZ New E36 M3.

It has black leather along with all the normal kit and is very original including a complete and up to date service book!

It's had a new Vanos, water pump, cooling system and all bushes replaced.

Going to be working on the paint and bringing It back to new condition.

Thinking of putting my immaculate 2003 E39 530i up for sale. So if your interested, let me know.

Only have a few pics after quick wash this arvo.

To be honest I had actually given up looking. And then out of the blue this turned up.

I'd be lining up an E46 aswell if we weren't trying to buy a house!

I'm keen to have a look at yours when I'm down next. Let me know if your around up here.

You finally found one then haha, looks good man

Very nice M3, IMO, one of the best colours they ever came out in, glad it hasn't been another race-car convert. The kinda colour that just looks great through all lighting :)

Spent 10 hours working in the paint today. Didn't really need it but was so good to get all the swirl makes out. 4 stage cut and polish and only did the front guards, roof and bonnet!!

Sorry, excuse the typos, stupid auto correct.

Yeah it came up really nice, lots of hard work though and considerable patience!!

Youll have to excuse my ignorance but what does a 4 stage cut and polish actually involve?

Car looks great by the way.

Hey mate. Please don't feel ignorant for asking. I have spent hours upon hours reading about paint maintenance online and am still lost..:).

Basically it means that I take It right back using almost sand paper and then slowly work the paint back with a multitude of polishing pads and cutter fluid. Finally you seal paint and then wax which makes it a 7 step process in total.

I think you are from the HB? I live in Auck but am from HB and often back there. If needed id be happy to give you a little direction.

Cheers.
