Best Way to Remove Stain/ Smell From Fabric Car Seat

Recommended Posts

Need to get rid of a smell from a seat and it's foam. I'd normally suggest removing the seat, lighting it on fire and just going without a passengers seat. But as it's the girlfriends car, something less drastic is in order.

I poured water on it to hopefully dilute the original liquid, but it's definitely gone into the foam.

Turtle wax upholstery cleaber in green spray can from supercheap.

Then follow up with proper deoderisor. Meguiars or novac from sca again.

Or pull out wet well and scrub with washing powder. Rinse and dry.

Not good with new seats full of electrics though

Shot glass full of vanilla essence. As in leave it sitting in the car in the shot glass, lock it up for a few days with the windows closed & then chuck it out when done. My cousin swaers by it for cars that have been smoked in.

Can you pin point what's causing the smell first? Spill milk? Cigarette? Sweat? All the above will work for something and not others.

Give me a call Kurt, I produce a natural plant based deodoriser/ cleaner for industry.

Eats the tough odours like fish, milk, vomit etc, also removes stains.

Will give you a bottle.
