BMW E36 - 1UZ-FE Lexus / Toyota V8 Conversion Kit Parts

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys!
I've had fun with this, but now seeking different things from my project car so parting the E36 out and returning it to a stock specification :)
Looking at around $3500... I feel that is a fair price with the work put in and materials cost. See info below!

Here is a rare opportunity to have all the hard work taken out of an E36 Lexus V8 conversion with this ready to go kit.
Included is the following parts only!
1x Hydraulink power steering line, 1UZ to E36 rack.
1x E36 subframe with custom engine mount setup and nolathane dampers.
2x Engine brackets to suit 1UZ (would suit all year of engines)
1x Gearbox crossmember 10mm plate, suited for A series Toyota Automatic, but easily adaptable for a W series or R series manual gearbox
1x Pair of custom 4-2-1 mild steel headers, 1.5" primaries running 4.00mm thick wall tube for the first run. All HPC coated for the best protection.
(My stock 1UZ-FE 1992 spec with these headers made 150rwkw.)
1x 2.25" Dual Exhaust mid section with Magnaflow cats, H pipe and Magnaflow mid mufflers. finishing at axle area. (no rear box)
This kit was made by myself to a high standard with CAD assistance to achieve the best result possible in the tight E36 engine bay. All Mig and Tig welding has been done professionally by a certified engineer. Has been certified in an E36 and run for approx 20,000kms without any issues.
A new project is on it's way so time to part with my hard work and let someone else enjoy it!
See pictures for more detail of fitment and positioning. This kit is recommended for those that are mechanically minded, please be aware custom sump work, and custom driveshaft work would be required and are not included. Does not include engine etc.
*Please note, this will be available early July 2014* (needs to be removed from vehicle)

Yes yes, I shall keep next project hush hush for now. Perhaps a BMW, perhaps not. :P

What? So it can only be driven for 20,000kms?? Then what..

Edit nvm. Read it completely wrong.

Thought it said that it can be run for 20k without issues..Lol thought it might start breaking apart after that lol

??? :P It has been in my car for closer to 15,000kms of driving around. Now I'm going to take out the key conversion parts to hopefully sell, all in 100% serviceable condition.

Hi,

sorry for the noob questions, but does anyone know who performed the fabrication work ?

i.e the cross member and custom sump pan etc...

FYI, I'm looking to adapt a 1gzfe (the v12 bigger brother of the 1uzfe) into an e36 (as yet unpurchased) as the rising value of my 944 turbo (being rebuilt) precludes me from performing the required butchery to get the engine to fit...

I already have the engine, just getting the ecu wired for it...

Yes, I know bmw also does a v12, but no I don't want to use one...

Cheers !

Is this kit still available? I know it's been a long while. Very interested.

Long gone unfortunately.

I'm probably going to make a similar sort of thing future, maybe a UZ manual setup to suit a BMW E46 chassis.

Such fabrication is on the cards with my company Redrive LTD that I'm specifying on electronics & engine conversion type stuff. At present mostly dealing with electrics but gearing up to deal with more.

At the moment I'm doing a compact stock style single turbo setup for my 3UZ-FE Soarer that should be mostly done by Autumn. Aim is a reliable, 375hp / 600nm type of setup at 5-6 psi. All computer drawn for accuracy due to the tight fitment of the setup. Just about to start fabrication of the exhaust but will wait until after xmas & new years.
