Anyone tried Yokohama C Drive tyres on their E46 330i or similar vehicle ?

Whats your thoughts on these ?

Cheers

I purchased these Yokohama C drive Tyres for my 330i, replacing the Nangkang NS20's.

NS20's have a very soft sidewall whilst the C drives have a fairly stiff sidewall.

Improvement really noticable.

Quiet, plenty of feel and grip in damp conditions.

Very happy

Mid range touring tyre - suitable for commuting and touring - predictable and un inspiring , not a sport tyre

Hmmm, I thought that predictability was a desirable quality in a tyre.

Hmmm, me too. Adding to that not everybody drives "all out" on the road to require the "sport" tyre

It is hence the comment - unlike hankook ventus which is less predictable particularly in the wet

but unlike a sport tyre which can also be predictable, the C drive starts giving warning signals a lot earlier.

indeed, I've just whacked a set of A-drives on my 855-T5, they're very very progressive, and give tons of warning as they start to slide... the sidewalls are not stiff, pogo-ing around in comparison to Toyo Proxes4 that preceeded them. The Toyos give less feedback, though were well beyond the limit of the A-drives before hinting of an impending (and predictable) 'issue'.
