Life is choice bro thread.

E30 Is running again after swapping engines with a parts car i picked up, i had to swap exhausts with the donor car as i decided swapping exhaust manifolds would land me with too many broken studs.

Louder than an 80s DTM car right now, 2.5" straight through with a single 12" coby in the middle and a 12" long muffler with a 3.5" dump outlet. Fingers crossed a scarles silencer shuts it up enough for street duties.

WoF booked in sat morning, then a weekend road trip.

Brain scan clear (MRI)

Eye surgery successful and loss of vision halted for the time being

9 months of reflection and contemplation over and feeling fortunate.

And a couple sneaky glasses of wine on a Friday evening reading bimmersport posts.

Life is good .......... actually very good........

Thought about it, but the Hondas are a slightly better built bike imo.

The great crap you can rent in the US.

Family trip down to Virginia for Nascar tomorrow. Thought we would try fit in.

Buick Roadmaster. You're not a driver. You're a Captain.

Just got back from an awesome trip.

Nascar is great when you are there. It was like Talladega Nights IRL.

Everyone yelling and cheering. The noise was DEAFENING! 10X louder than any other motorsport I have been to. And the track was so small the noise is there 100% of the time. Quickly purchased ear plugs. Still deafening but no longer painful.

Was hoping there would be sweet cars in the car park to share. But it was Southern Virginia and if you drive a car and not a truck you are a female.

Every second person was wearing their hunting camo as everyday attire.

The Roadmaster was just as floaty as you would imagine. But it sat on the 70mph speed limit no worries. Surprisingly it is not very roomy inside. Massive Boot and Dash means less cabin space. The steering is so vague it was just like steering a yacht.

Yeah it's gold. The Serbian guy who owns the car didn't get why we were laughing.

Okay so Noooooooooooow the E30 is back on the road, and road legal!

Hat Tip to RS Sinclair in CHCH for the WoF.

Electrical gremlins all fixed, tacho and econometer all going, and damage from time and idiocy repaired on dash cluster and SI board.

Tomorrow I be rolling.

Okay one small issue, not sure how normal it is, shuddering on takeoff once it's done a few takeoffs, all good when everything is cold.

Upside if i need to replace the clutch is I can put the Getrag 260 back in, was too lazy when I did the engine change to swap the box too.
