Hot damn, I like it.

I'd put some photos up of mine but I'm so ashamed of the current ride height I've just been leaving it in the garage under its car cover until I choose coil overs. Plus I can't be bothered washing it every time I go out in the Wellington weather.

Thats what it looked like earlier today so I can relate to the washing part.

Dont worry about that stock ride height. You should post up some pics anyway.

My 750i is still sitting stock..lol Though not for much longer I think..

Here's a couple from the other day. It needs de-badging, tinting and lowering but I love it. I've wanted a 7 for years so it's my baby.

Dude. That's stunning.

Luving those wheels and the color. Wouldn't mind a set of those for the 750.

Thanks man! Still trying to figure out which coilovers to go for, almost settled on BC but time will tell. I wish FK still made them for e38s!

Have you thought about lowering springs? Would be a more comfortable ride than coil-overs and a whole lot cheaper too.

The 740i has lowering springs in the front on the EDC struts. Been running on it like that for almost 4 years with no problems.

Have thought about it for sure, I don't think they'll quite give the drop I'm after though. I know getting real low isn't a popular thing on this forum but it's what I'm after for the 7, it's just going to be a road tripper/cruiser so I'm not too worried about firmness, I've heard good things about the BC coilovers though, not too harsh apparently. I'll pop up a photo of the height I'm looking for to give you an idea

Looking great dave, although not so sure on the exposed downturned exhaust pipes. Only time i like pipes like that is on diesels, with them shooting smoke at the road under accel.

This sort of height. I have a hot hatch as a daily/fun car so I'm not too worried about performance.

Too low, looks dumb.

Yeah it's not to everyone's tastes that's for sure, but I like it and that's what matters. As long as I'm looking back at it every time I walk away from it I know I'm doing ok.

this post got me looking through ever e38 on trademe.. (searching e38 is no good.. gotta go thru each 728i 730i 740i etc)

theres a HUGE price gap some $1000 some $8000 and the s7 variant for $25000 or something.

all I know is I want one. but I also know it wont fit in my garage, nor should I have such a big car after selling the e class which I thought was big enough..

sigh still want one...

I need to get my one back out of the garage again. It's only done 300kms since its last warrant and it's for it's next in a coupe of weeks.

Snap, I remember your car from all the way back in 2009.

The Tank.

Had to go look for the pic online.
