recommendations for brake pads

Recommended Posts

found an old thread from 5 yrs ago but having to change pads and looking for something that doesn't cake the wheels in black dust within the first 50kms of washing the wheels.

Is it just a new zealand sourced thing because even wifes new holden cruze does it on factory pads and the bmw is well just ridiculous. Talked to nissan dealer and they admit all their new cars do it too.

Compared to a late model import skyline we have which will match braking on any car Ive ever driven and when you go to wash the wheels are still spotless after weeks. The little dust there has a reddish rust colour to itI. i don't race cars but there has to be something available that doesn't cost moonbeams and shed extremely toxic black soot that sticks like S*&t on a blanket on every trip to the dairy. Looking around parking lots you notice some cars do and some don't.

Seriously - just go for OEM pads. Not cheap but you know what you are getting.
