M50NV Turbo overcoming ecu problem?

Recommended Posts

So in my silly haste to get this project well under way i didn't read properly into it, realising that i should have done a bit more reading first.

I have come to the problem of ecu and wiring....now before i get too far im going to ask here on what people have done as there is no option for the 402 ecu with its small maf sensor, so what have you guys done with the ecu when it comes to getting a turbo conversion up and running?

Looking round the place it seems the simplest option is to try and find a M50tu loom and 413 ecu with MAF and crank pulley etc.....or go direct wire in and tune that way?

anyone used any other ways to get around this horrible system?

Couldnt you just use a bigger maf and remap to suite.
Actually all that time paying someone to calibrate it might not be worthwhile
Does the budget allow for a standalone ecu? Or one of those war chip things

You can run a vanos ecu, need to change trigger wheel though and I believe can sensor needs to be changed.

Just go stand alone, way more options and more control once you do.
