$1 Reserve on a 1992 750iL

Recommended Posts

One of those as a project gives me the shudders.

Probably not had that much care in the last decade.

With a lot of these cars they are only as good as the finer details are.

To enjoy something like that, you'd almost need to strip it down and rebuild half the car!

Particularly suspension, brake wise.

Be a hard sale, old E32 like this would be a money pit. Probably best parted, sad but true

Yeah Fantastic cars,

but they are only worth keeping intact if pampered their entire life, down to the leather being conditioned.

Just contending with a sloppy steering box and linkages is enough of a headache, the list goes on a whole mile. :P

Good source of a V12 if thats your bag.

I reckon the $200 it's at now should probably be terminal bid point... but it'll probably go higher, then get offered after the auction closes and someone realises what they just "bought"...

Sounds like a nightmare, and who knows how badly it's been dicked with.

i know someone that will probably put it into 4 figures, as with anything, worth varying amounts to varying people

Yeah. I'd luv to have one of these but it'd have to be in way better condition than this one. I have enough to contend with getting the 750i up to scratch..lol

And frankly the wiring in that one scares the hell out of me.

I've just been given one, 3 owners, genuine 79thou on the clock, mint interior, no rust at all,sun damage to paint on roof, hood and boot. The main problem is any plugs in the wiring loom I touch crumble in my hands. Apart from a new battery, couple of bulbs and wiper blades it hasn't cost me a cent yet but I can see issues coming up in the future, and parts are hard to find unless you are rich lol
