WTB e91 330i Touring

Hi there, trying to track down an e91 330i touring. Doesn't seem to be a lot (if any) floating around on trademe.

Prefer >100k kms. >$20. And leather.

Any ideas?

a 330i is pretty rare in e90 series and to find one in a wagon e91 will be even harder. and on top of that you have other requirements? lol good luck.

best to settle for a 325i but if you want leather then you wont find one thats msport so..

what you're looking for basically doesnt exist haha

There was one listed last month, sold in days. UK import, grey, around $20k. Looked nice.

You'll be waiting forever. As above, go for a 325i or man up and get a turbo.

Many thanks for the replies - Yes I had feared it might be a bit of a unicorn. I was interested in the grey one - that sold the same day as far as i remember.

In that case - Should I settle for the 325i touring, or step up to the 530i? The 335i looks like it might be out of the price range.

Go up to a 530, unless you really want the smaller car, the 530 will surpass a 325 every day of he week, IMHO of cause

^ im going to disagree with you Brent!

1. 530i e61 is a way bigger car and bigger doesnt always mean better

2. because of 1. i think it will be slower/under powered and worse on petrol compared to the 3 series with the 2.5L engine

3. price.. a 530i non msport is around 17-18k and a msport is 22-30k give or take whereas the 325i msport with low ks can be had for sub 20k.

If i was to get a e61 it would have to be either the diesel OR a 550i like yours brent, otherwise I think the 325i e91 wins every day of the week :D

edit: dont look at "Car 2" in my profile. im not biased..

a 335i wagon can be had for sub 20K, definitely worth a look imo.

^ yeah but they are pretty sht IMO. Even the low/mid $20s ones I have seen aren't great. You need to be mid/high $20s for a decent one (sticker).

I would rather have a higher spec 325i for very low $20s, or less. (Unless you are looking to tune a turbo or something)

I don't know a lot about the 5 series, but if you can handle the size, they do look like better value. I think even the e9x is too big personally, so a 5 series is too much for me.

Bigger is always better, just gotta be big enough for a V8 I say, but then I'm biased as, live in the country and don't give a toss about gas ;)

As much as I like the look of the e60... if I'm honest most of the use will be short commutes to work by the missus. So the e90 is probably the perfect size. Small enough for town, but big enough to load with bikes and hustle down to Rotorua for the weekend.

MY question is now - Why the touring tax? Wagons seem to be anywhere from 15~30% more expensive than sedans. Same with the Audi A4/S4. Do you guys think they'll hold this same pricing difference with age, kms and general depreciation?
