Cheers guy packs a punch with it turned right up.

Vibrates the rear parcel tray but if i put my hand on it the vibration stops so i might have to pack it slightly with foam

^ try the tennis ball trick. I.e. jam tennis balls under the tray to stop vibration.

I tried fixing it yesterday afternoon but i just cant stop the vibration.

I wanted to do it properly so i lifted the parcel try and couldnt find anything specifically rattling i put soft plastic mounts between shelf and sub slightly better but i think its just the thin steel shaking with the vibrations ill try with soft rubber and see if it helps.

In the mean time the sub level is down low to prevent noise

would suggest mounting somehere else or perhaps try mounting foam/rubber matting in between or your other option may be get some dynamat and line the parcel tray with that

I really dont want to have to move it if it came to that i would rather remove it.

Yeah ill give some matting ago see how it goes. thanks man

Mount it to a 22mm Mdf panel that's almost the width of the parcel shelf. Carpet and attach via Iso fix mount nuts and use rivnuts with standoffs as well.It should stiffen up the parcel shelf enough.

Otherwise mount it above your battery tray.

Thanks Neal ive ordered some anti vibration mounts that should hopefully isolate the sub from the tray. Ill keep you posted on how this goes.

Vibration solved rubber mounts worked a treat they cost $30 but well worth it to stop the vibration

Glad it's worked out.

When I did my build I noticed how that area would easily vibrate.

The rubber suspension will stop the low end extension a bit, but far better than put up with Rattles.

That treatment in the link above is more applicable if your running factory subs where drivers directly load the rear parcel and the air moment causes some flapping of the parcel shelf cover and the shelf. The issue here was more of the metal vibration by the coupling of sub and parcel shelve .

It will extend the life of your amp too, as amps hate vibration.

Hey another slight update brought a few stock exhaust and i wanted to gut one and see what it sounds like and before you judge me i will have anoth stock one to revert back to if it sounds like crap they were very cheap so it doesn't matter either way.

Not finshed yet (on holiday at the moment) just thought id post what ive done.

I went thought 3 cutting disc and a big rubbish bag of what looks like hair. Only removed baffling from chambers 2, 3 and 5 may do chamber 1 depending on how it sounds

I also put 10mm spacers on the rear to sharpen the fitment. Now offset +12!!

It's going to sound like a rattly honda without the baffling inside

Don't do it.

Re exhaust - mate did the same to his e36 m3 exhaust but he replaced perforated pipe with normal pipe before repacking with steel wool. Sounds awesome and no drone.....

Liberating sound is good!
