I think since the late 90's BMW prevents you from selecting unsightly colour combinations, or dropped some interior colours (I've seen some strange combos, particularly on E34 models from early '90's) e.g. you can't order a red car with a blue interior or green with a red interior.

​But maybe you can get around it using the individual program.
