99 E38 750i SOLD

Recommended Posts

So here we go. I'll start by saying I'm not in a hurry to sell at all so I wont mind seeing it sit in my drive a bit longer..

1999 E38 750i.

There are only 113 RHD facelift 750i's in the world.

Titansilber with fully optioned Marineblau interior. Heated front seats. Electric adjustable rear seats, picnic tables and vanity headrests. Inlayed woodgrain. Very rare leather center console.

Sitting on 18in style 32's with near new tyres.

Has done a bit over 250,000k but drives great.

I have a spare set of front and rear bumpers should you want to delete the towbar.

Will have Reg and new WOF for new owner.

Sold

Would like it gone to fund another project.

Have you been treated for your addiction to e38s? I hope a new addiction is brewing as that is a cool car and difficult to replace........

lol, the addiction is still there. I'm not going to part with the 740i.

I've had my mind on a E34 for a while now. Must be a V8 manual though.. :D

Dude no, i thought of all your cars the 750i would be the one to keep. Anyone can buy a 740i on TM any day, but a SWB 750? Nope.

I'm not in any great hurry but if a manual E34 comes along I'd like to be able to jump on it quick as nice E34 540i manuals are becoming a bit rare themselves.

Cheers Brent. Been thinking about it for a while now.

So glad nobody stole this off me at that price.

Turns out it wasn't a intake gasket after all.

A slightly flat battery was the culprit..lol Replaced with a good battery today and the cars running as it should. :D

Keep in mind there was that really tidy L7 long wheel base E38 V12 that sold for 10k recently.

If that is relevant to what 750is are worth I'm not so sure.

Thanks.

It's hard to put a price on it when you know there are only 113 in the world.

But at the same time I'm not in a hurry to sell and it's only listed here.

Just found your posts on the 750i restoration project. Great work! - just starting a tidy up of my own 1997 750i (SWB) - in the paint shop now! Did you sell your 750?

Hi Mark.

I've still got it though recently decided it's seriously time it went.

I haven't seen many Pre Facelift 750i's in NZ. I saw a silver one a few years ago on TM. Will be looking froweard to seeing some pics of yours.

Hey Dave - have you just picked up 2 more E38s? (735i and 728i)

The 750i is a beautiful vehicle that should go to a discerning buyer. I wish I had more garages :|

Hey Pete.

I had a possible deal in the works for a swap. A 740i, 750il and 728i all for my 750i but that has since fallen through.

Yeah. I'd like to see it go to someone who will care for it.

‘97 750i (SWB) - all original (208,000 km) except for tail lights (post 97) - in great running order (fresh repaint) except for on board monitor! I’m guessing that the 4:3 screen has permanently died! Any suggestions on where to find a replacement?

Cheers

Mark

Nice car Mark.

I may have a spare at home. I'll have a look when I get back.

You could also look at upgrading to the 16:9 display. All it would take is the display and the module from the boot. All plug and play.

Still struggling to diagnose the issue - managed to swap out the monitor and no luck - then sourced replacement unit for the boot and still no joy! Stereo and all audio controls work just fine? Simply no glow from the monitor? Puzzled? Hell yeah!!!

SOLD to a member here so no doubt you'll still all see it around. A sad day for me. It's the first time in close to 10 years that I dont own a E38. Congrats to the new owner. Hoping you get as much fun and enjoyment out of it as I did.

I have to say that Dave has requested first option of buy back if the time comes for it to part company with me.

Pleasure to take over the ownership of this fine beastmate, thanks. I’m sure the driveway will feel pretty different for a while.

loving the first few hundred kms on the way back to Auckland, second half of the trip today.

car will get some bodywork finishing to take the work Dave started onwards.

will be a stock look and feel all the way :)

Today has been a good day (for me)

Nice. If you still had your 6 you'd have a nice cylinder collection going, but 8-12 is still a good effort.
