Understanding the original spec of your car - http://www.bimmer.work/

Recommended Posts

Suggest this is pinned as a useful resource ....

Go to http://www.bimmer.work/ and punch in the last 7 digits of your VIN and wunderbar! You get the factory spec of your vehicle!

Checked my E53 and it looks to be spot on. Neat tool.

Both those sites only show the options list for the VIN. That is the list of equipment added on top of the FACTORY standard spec.

So they are not complete build lists for your car as they may well be missing some equipment.

For example as my 'vert is a 325i it came with SA481 Sports Seats and SA22? ABS braking as factory standard, so neither of those show on these lists, but are on the full build sheet.

I don't know of anywhere on line which gives the build sheet, but it is usually under the rear seat...

ETK.cc is also good for options lists, and part numbers

Realoem is just a copied version of an old ETK (electronic parts catalogue) which is the official BMW parts system.
