"technically" there shouldn't be any reason for it to not be certifiable.
it's narrower than the mirror and as such poses no danger to pedestrians, it's bolted to the chassis so won't come off..Shouldn't be a problem.

EDIT: It's not like front mounted Canards which can shear a pedestrian in half should you hit them with speed, unless they go over the hood and the spoiler then cuts them in half?

You can expect plenty of roadside conversations with the constabulary about this wing.

I think there's a difference between a bike rack - fastened to the bottled with clips - and extrusions bolted to the chassis. When a ped collides with the bike rack, it will cause bruising and contusions, but will ultimately disconnect from the car. Worst case scenario - a broken bone. Your wing will slice the same ped up.

It's not for the road.

I love it .. looks seriously agressive and you have already done the lowering etc to support the look.

I actually think you have a go at making your own bumper setup with rear diffuser. Leave the rear bumper stock and get some glass one made up (Dutchy can do this if you have a the part to copy (which you do) )

That way you can do a diffuser into the back.

Yeah, great looking wing - loved watching this guys races too (Georg Plasa???).

Amazing looking car - if you can get a similar look it would be awesome.

Personally I'm pretty undecided

I like it because it continues the theme of the car perfectly but just feel it looks 'unfinished' without a bumper.

Custom rear air dams like that 1 series would be unreal!

Looking forward to seeing further progress

You can't even open the boot for the groceries anyway because brackets are drilled into it to keep it from flexing haha.

I'll be making a diffuser soon :)

In my years of tinkering with cars, one thing I've learned is you should never make a road car too track like

Have a road car

and

Have a track car

Or else you're just compromising, and end up with an awkward, impractical and annoying car to use thats too harsh for our crappy public roads.

Also another wheel update:

Swapping my RC303's (wheels only) for Daniel's RG-R's as they have the offset I'm wanting (mine are 18x8.5 +38 with 20mm spacers, RG-R is 18x8.5 +13)
