They certainly have a now typical merc agressive look, TBH makes an M5 look soft which is more a reflection on the current BMW styling then this looking great IMHO, probably a better buy as well

Yes the S Class is a coupe, but its hard to find a good photo of a sedan that has the large star grille.

They're okay. Pretty lame designs IMO, very awkward proportions. 

They had it better with the original W212

IMO they are a bit meh...

Look like an early 2000's JZX110 Verosa in general shape/silhouette.

Too slab-ish, massive expanse of steel between the top of the rear wheel arch and the windows / boot lid.
Wheels look like cheap after market jobbies with tyres that are too low in profile, and tacky red brake calipers.

I have mixed feelings about the modern Mercs - but do prefer the E-class out of the bunch - it's not as sweeping/blobby as some of the other models. All subjective anyway  Whatever the aesthetics the new E63 will be a beast!!
