OMG - NZ New RHD e30 M3

Recommended Posts

http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-1230421566.htm

"VIN no. WBS AKO 1080 2190706 -- number 424 of 505 built.
No-expense-spared ownership of 23 privileged years, completely un-restored and un-molested and in near immaculate condition with a recently refreshed engine and almost all original paint -just a patina of careful use and a couple of carpark blemishes."

If I win lotto, I'm buying this.

RHD is rarer than LHD for a good reason, they were never built in the factory like that (except possibly the two RHD test cars for Japan) all the RHD conversions were carried out outside of the factory. As such and RHD cars are considered as "non-original" and hence lose a proportion of their value. maybe not such an issue in RHD markets like NZ, but certainly not a reason for a higher price over LHD and definately not an investment car.

Road And Track I believe.

He is saying car was converted in Europe, possibly Birds UK. History is a bit sketchy IMHO.
