Rare E34 M5?

Recommended Posts

This M5 just sounds stunning! 1990 and owner says just covered 65k kms and is a weekend drive. That colour and interior combo sounds cool but those Throwing Stars are frigging awesome!

Any one know this car?

It was this car as seen in the movie Ronin that got me in to M5's. Spectacular Engine.

Ronin... Isn't that the film about a Mercedes 450SEL 6.9? :P ;)

Pretty sure the M5 wasn't in Ronin, just a cooking grade 535i.

The Audi S8 was the Ronin car.

Regardless, that silver M5 is a nice car!

Ronin is rather all over the place.

V6 sounding S8 (supposed to be a 4.2 V8)

They used multiple 52Xi E34s with apparently, M3 sounds, as I was told by someone that owns an E34 M5, his M5 makes none of those sounds the car in the movie does. The tone between the cars is different.

Either way, they did have nice car noises in the movie and are why I've owned 2 E34 over the years.

Hi Guys, this is my M5. I've owned a long list of mainly E34's but this is the best one, even the original floor mats are still secured with unbroken plastic lugs.

It is essentially a 1 onr from new, the original onr purchased it brand new in HK & bought it here in 1995. He sadly passed away and the president of the BMW club appraised it & passed it on to the dealer principal at Claytons & he sold it it to me.

Anything else of interest about the car??

With regards the movie Ronin, the car used was a manual 525i(M50 engine). Listen to the exhaust tone as it slides around, deep M50 tone & it has the std white needle dash.

rgds

Mr E34.

edit: forgot to add it came with the original turbines & throwing stars(personally not fond of either)

Thanks for sharing, Boris... have always had a soft spot for the E34 M5, and yours is an exceptional example. Hope the old girl is behaving herself.

Cheers!
