Haven't sorted out this issue yet. Been in a motorcycle accident, broken bones, surgeries etc. so will be out of action for a few months. Will likely be buying lock barrels from Brent when I can and get locksmith to calibrate them with my key.

whatever you do then dont let the battery go flat in the E39!

Good luck dude, I read a few stories like this just a month or so ago. Needed to get into the E36 boot with no key access and no battery. At least I had a coupe but it was still a PITA and in researching it I read some pretty tough stories from sedan owners. Lucky we don't keep kids in there eh?

If you had a kid In there they could pull the emergency release! ;)
