If it's in good condition, that's a nice price.

+1 on this. E39 Motorsport Tourings are also pretty uncommon.

It includes Bluetooth and radar detector too!

Congrats, I was following this car also. What areas require TLC just out of interest?

nice one mate, was tempted with this, being a e39 version of my old e34, but oh well. that's life. I hope the TLC is not too intense :D

If you paid close to $4500 for it and end up spending even up to $2k more on it, it was still a good buy. $2k, if you're doing the work yourself, gets you very far with these too.

Paid 4K as the seller was leaving on OE today and wanted it gone, work that needs to be done:

Water pump as last done at 100KM

Exhaust need to be replaced as its been changed to a noisier after market unit that does not suit the character of the car. Will look for an oem one.

Tints need to be removed (too dark) does not suit the colour of the car. will retint with a light tint.

all four wheels are curbed, will need to be repaired.

one door has a dent will get this pulled

Paint restoration and interior clean, will have OCD do this for me in 2 months will do a surface clean for now.

All of the above that I can see..

Will restore to OEM asap and keep clean....

pics to follow as o progress

At $4k, that is an amazing deal. Well done!

Exhaust, expect to pay ~$400 for an OEM one fitted, second hand, of course.

Water pump, if you do the work yourself, shopping from fcpeuro, ~$100.

Tint is easy, look up on youtube.

Curbing on wheels, easy, but time consuming. I have had success with this

If that's all that is wrong with the car, that was an amazing buy.

If the water pump is overdue best be checking the rest of the cooling system.

Combined, this would still not cost $2k, IF he does the work himself. :)
