SOLD: 1993 E34 550 Touring $4K

Yep...

Long story short, I've had a change in circumstances, the car is still in Auckland, and I can't really justify nice things right now... or this year... maybe not next year either.

Seeking to get what I paid for it $4000, and I'm firm on that.

It's not running great, but very likely to simply be a combination of a vacuum leak, and the distributors needing replaced IMO.

Other treasures include boot not locking, front passenger window not working, front wheel bearings being shot, at least one tie rod needing replaced, and the key sucking to use in the drivers door are all that spring to mind presently.

It's not perfect, but, it's certified, and a lot of car for the money, huge potential for someone to turn this into something very cool, I'd planned manualisation amongst other things, but I'm having to sell off a few toys to get out of a bind, fun times.

Me too, I've only driven about 100km in it, I'm facing facts, looking at what assets I'm not using and don't need, and given this thing is still at the other end of the country, it's up the list.

damnit, i shouldve checked the forum a couple of weeks ago and got this instead of the MX5. If its still around in a month or so i'd be keen, but looks like youre probably going to be rid of it by then.

A friend just showed this to me and oh boy, does this car ticks so many boxes for me.

If you're willing to do a trade I have a tidy, up-spec '99 Mitsubishi Diamante (probably worth ~$3k) here in Chch. Just got it two brand new tires and a WOF. I happily trade that + say $500 your way.

After owning a few Mitsi, I’m not convinced I want another, especially a V6 one?

It is a relatively tempting offer though, PM me more details.

What kind of other vehicles are you interested in as trades?

Practicality and Fuel Economy are the priorities, think small 4wd or station wagon, or 4wd station wagon.

iX the V12? ;)

The only thing I can offer is neither a 4WD or a wagon, but it certainly is economical.

I have many things but no 4wds or wagons and some are relatively economical

I’m talking about what’s ideal, what I’d accept has more latitude, if it’s impractical, if has to be economical, if it’s practical, I can accept a little extra fuel burn.

Sure thing, assuming she’s aware and consenting to the swap.

Indeed, but it's fun to take the intentionally absurd seriously, fun for me anyway.
